Stark Boutique Hotel and Spa Bali

Hotel is cute and rooms at comfy but smell like smoke and mold. The lobby area smells of cigarettes because people smoke in the lounge area. People smoke near the lift and breakfast is poor Staff are helpful but hotel needs to be maintained Like curtains washed and some stains in rooms on The furniture dust accumulation in rooms . Furniture at Pool is wearing out especially the cabanas and the cushions Are terrible. The only nice thing about the hotel is the view from the rooftop pool. Probably won't stay again it's my second time now.

Friendly Staff ! Design Hotel. One night at 11PM the wifi doesn't work, i went to ask the reception, if it's normal? But 20 minutes after, the network manager and 2 technicians resolved the problem: A good team! I could park our scooter in front of the Hotel. Just one thing, We dont have a really window, we saw a wall.

Near to airport and a short walk to the beach

The hotel was beautifully designed and really attractive. The staff were super friendly and smiled every time they saw us. They asked us if we wanted our room cleaned even when we didn't have the "please clean room sign" on our door handle. The meals were a bit small (but still tasty) compared to the rest of Kuta's restaurants, but I expected this because it was one of the finer dining restaurants. Breakfast seemed to be the same every day with minor differences, which wasn't a problem for us because we missed it 5 out of 8 days (due to our late nights because EVERYTHING is open late). The rooms were as expected but the bathroom was a bit small for my liking. Locality wise it was a bit far, closer to the edge of Kuta, this made getting too and from Kuta central and Legian beach about a 20 minute walk if you were strolling or a 4 minute taxi ride (or 10 minutes with hectic traffic) for about 15,000 rupiah maximum depending on the taxi driver (about one dollar 50 cents or something similar). This made it ideal for business travellers due to being close to the airport. The rooftop pool was as I expected and the spa was amazing, we felt so relaxed afterwards. All round it was well worth it, however next time I visit Kuta I will probably go to a hotel located closer to the main area so at night time the hotel is walking distance instead of taking a taxi.

Location good from airport. Service was great and staff helpful and friendly. Breakfast not so good. for the price it was good value.

The hotel was exactly what we expected based on the promotional materials and other reviews. This hotel is a definate yes as far as price, location, and cleanliness. My other half was dissapointed with the mani/pedi at the spa, but everything else was excellent and we give high marks. The wifi signal was a bit weak in the rooms, but there are lounges near the stair wells on each floor, and the wifi units are right there so there is enough bandwidth for skype or other communications. The beach is a short 200 meter walk, and you can reach the Discovery Mall walking North along the beach about 1Km. Staff was quick to respond to every need. Laundry service was reasonably priced compared to other hotels.

The comments we read about J Boutique was all true...The deco was black n white, which is sooo romantic and the location was near to the waterbom park and the shopping centre eg: the discovery shopping centre,ect..except the breakfast has not much of variety but overall really enjoyed our stay there and for those looking for halal food it is just oppisite our hotel..

Nice and clean hotel with friendly hotel staffs. Affordable and stylish. One thing bad is the location which is not that convenience to the places like Legian and Kuta town. Have to walk quite a distance. It will be better to reach the places in taxi. Btw, the taxis are cheap in Bali.

Friendly staff, good for a short stay.We only stayed one night after a long flight.
