Courtyard Marriott San Salvador

Great place to live.

Location is perfect. Staff are wonderful. The lobby area smelled pleasant. The room smell was not pleasant.

We enjoyed our stay at Courtyard Marriot. The room was clean, beds comfortable and quiet. The grounds was nice too. The pool was great! Close to shopping center and restaurants. We enjoyed our stay here and will stay in the future when in San Salvador

Convenient, comfortable and spacious. Expensive breakfast, stairs smelled bad, had to use them because one of the elevators was under repair and waited 10 minutes for it to come and decided to take the stairs

It should have more beverage and transportation options

Gracias por una agradable estadía el desayuno variado y hasta nos llevaron pupusas a la mesa. La ubicación excelente y la seguridad también. La última noche el apagón no se notó porque todo fluyó como si nada hubiera pasado. Mariana en el Buffet siempre nos recibió con mucha amabilidad y una gran sonrisa además nos recomendó lugares y ayudó con la ubicación. Esperamos volver pronto con toda la familia

The room needs updates. The lamp fixtures were dirty and the fire detector looked rusty. Out last night there, there was a group of college kids being loud out by the pool. I was well into midnight and we had to get up early to catch our flight, I call the front seat for them to deal with the noise. It took an hour for the noise to cease. Then those same college students started making a noise in the hallways.

Property was very nice and staff was very pleasant

This hotel is beyond outdated (which I partly expected reading reviews prior). I believe for the rates they are charging it is just a huge rip-off. None of these rooms should be over $100 USC/night. They can at the very least try to update the bathroom shower curtain. When I first arrived to my room, I realized that the refrigerator smelled like someone had dropped salad dressing it, Just smelled real foul. Notified the front desk and they said they would have someone look at it. Upon my return to my hotel, I realized the smell was partially still there, but it was late, and I just left it alone. A few days into my stay I noticed some little bugs crawling on desk near tv as well. Breakfast start should start at least one hour earlier in my opinion for ppl who start their day early. I feel as the staff recognized ppl spoke English or not fluent Spanish & was less reluctant to help those guests. Even at one point, a Spanish speaking patron began talking over me and I was already speaking w/the receptionist as I was the only other person in the lobby at this time. She stopped what she was doing to assist him even though I was already being helped. Extremely rude. The final straw which this hotel keeps quiet is how LOUD it can be Friday/Saturday nights. They had some event going on and I felt like it was a nightclub playing outside my room with all the noise. I would highly recommend paying a few extra dollars & staying at maybe Hyatt Centric. (especially to my SOLO travelers)
