Marko Polo Maradiso Hotel by Aminess

This place was awesome. Everythng is maintained so well and the staff are super helpful and friendly' The pool area is gorgous with lots of seating and some couches in the shade as well. The pool area is meticulous. There is a nice view of old town and just a short walk there. There are a few good restaurants on the way to old town as well. We went to the little beach right beside the hotel as well for morning dips and it was so peaceful. Make sure to have your water shoes with you. The breakfast buffet was really good with lots of different options. I also appreciated that they let us leave our luggage for a bit when we were waiting to grab our exit ferry

The property seems to be oriented to senior guests . It has a nice pool area, the hallways are updated and pleasant, the breakfast buffet is better than most. All staff were good except one who denied us a room change.

We paid extra for a sea view. We were corrected at the desk that it was ‘sea side.’ The view was of the ugly roof of another building. The man at the text was basically, sorry, can’t help you. Then we saw the rest of the room and it was dated, with an uncomfortable mattress, dirty carpet, tiny shower, and a weird electrical system that turned off the power when we were not in the room so we couldn’t charge any devices. It felt like we were in a 1980’s Porter room not a highly rated hotel. Disappointing. At least half the hotel needs an update. Only one pillow each provided, had to ask for more. Seemed cheap.

Large room, good location

The room was old (which we expected from the photos) but things like the lights wouldn’t go off in the room without taking out the entire key card, there was a bath but no plug for it, room had a bit of a musty smell. The carpet had lots of stains

Nice reception and pool area with lovely views. Staff were very nice.

Hotel room needed refurbishing. Bathroom very poor, shower over bath no longer suitable for stays in 2026. Difficult to exit bath and shower fitted in an awkward position. Breakfast was very average with lukewarm food. Evening meals substandard and cold, ended up eating out. The hotel did not provide the opportunity to purchase lunchtime snacks (snack bar closed) so had to go out to buy food from the local bakery when using the pool. This hotel should never be rated as a 4 star, I’d barely give it 3 stars.

Great location - short walk to old town - opted for half board and food was pretty good considering what we paid vs not taking half board. Staff were friendly, happy and helpful. Our suite was a good size with a shaded balcony. Pool area was great.

Half board doesn’t include drinks which is a shame so you can wait some times for waiters to bring paid drinks from the bar. Only small issues is the bathrooms are quite tired and it’s a shower over bath which would be tricky for some (we managed fine). Also pool bar was not yet open and no music but imagine this is different in high season - we were here 2 weeks before apparently.

El baño, necesitaria remodelacion, tener tina hace un poco mas dificil y de riesfo el uso de la ducha en personas mayores.

Large room

It is dated hotel in the uphills. The facilities are dated and the electricity is no good. The hotel was out of electricity. Even it resumed power, the electricity in the room was suddenly off.
