De Curtis Palace

Hotellet har store flotte rom, rent og pent. Noe shabby nabolag og kanskje litt vanskelig å finne. Men vi følte oss trygge i området. Hotellet var også behjelpelig med å anbefale trygg parkering, som befinner seg like ved. Personalet er meget hyggelige og hjelpsomme. Svært rene rom. Noe dårlig frokost, kun kaker, men god kaffe. Anbefales på det sterkeste.

Das De Curtis hat seine Vor- und Nachteile. Diese zusammengerechnet erhält man eine recht nüchterne mittelmäßige Bewertung. Vorteile: + Die Lage. 5min vom Zug- und Busbahnhof. So kann man auch noch schnell frühstücken, bevor man den 8:15 Bus zum Ätna erwischen will. Zum Zentrum, also Dom und Via Etna ist es auch nur ein paar Minuten entfernt. + Die Zimmer machen einen eigentlich guten Eindruck. Die Betten sind in einem sehr guten Zustand, die Matratzen bequem. Die Möbel recht neu und nicht abgenutzt. + Die Chefin spricht gutes Englisch und war immer sehr hilfsbereit und nett. + Wi-Fi Internet kostenlos auch im Zimmer. Nachteile: - 5min vom Bahnhof heißt leider auch, dass in der Straße alle 15m einschlägige Damen vor den Häusern sitzen und auf Kundschaft warten. Was bei Tag egal ist, wird nach Mitternacht bei offener Balkontür zu einem Horror, da die Damen sehr gesprächig und öfter nicht einer Meinung sind. - Süßes Frühstück ist an sich nichts Schlechtes, aber das was geboten wird, ist völlig ungenügend. Die Highlights: Marmelade aus Supermarktgläsern inklusive Brotkrumen und Butter der vorherigen Gäste. Der zuständige Mitarbeiter bereitet den Kaffee zu, indem er Löskaffeepulver in eine Filterkaffeemaschine ohne Filter füllt. - Im gesamten Hotelzimmer gibt es keinen Handtuchhalter, um die benutzten Handtücher aufzuhängen. - Geputzt wird zwar, aber nicht gewischt und die Duschkabine wurde dabei ausgelassen. Die Handtücher werden nicht regelmäßig gewechselt.

We look for the hotel around a couple of hours, no visible signs and its really hard because people do not speak english to help you. once we found it was a nice welcome, the rooms are comfortable and clean, the showers where never explain to us so was a challenge to make them work properly, but that is just a small thing, breakfast was really nice, feels like a home breakfast in a nice place, Alessandro the reception manager that day really kind and offer multiple choices for food and parking for the car. after find it the hotel everything came easier, the check out time was kind of early IO:30 AM, well that most need a change because everybody usually checks out at I2:00 however i would stay there again if i visit Catania in Sicily

Ottima scelta in rapporto al prezzo e qualità soggiorno e per la vicinanza con stazioni pullman e treni. Camera silenziosa.

Très déçu par cet hôtel : - la chambre était totalement différente des photos, très sombre et avec une décoration vieillotte sans saveur - le quartier n'est pas super, on n'a pas envi de rentrer trop tard... - le gérant, bien que sympathique, ne parle pas un mot d'anglais (ni de français) Je ne recommande pas.

IT's a clean enough, fine enough hotel for a short stay. No english with service but that's to be expected in Sicily. A little hard to find and odd layout within the building but the rooms are fine. Breakfast was pretty lame. Horrible coffee, which in Italy is just plain wrong.

I spent one night only but surely this will be my residence whenever i am in Catania.

Porte de la ruelle faisant plutôt peur la nuit car ruelle sombre. Hôtel non identifié par un affichage. Personnel très accueillant et agréable, serviable. Intérieur propre, très bon service et endroit convivial. J'y retournerait volontiers ! En taxi, 20 euros MAX. Marchander la course en taxi avant de monter a bord sinon, il vous chargera 40 euro minimum.Préférable car difficile de trouver l'hôtel en voiture. Conduite en voiture sur Catane bordélique.

A nice B&B, but we stayed a saturday, and there was a lot of noice in the streetWe didn't feel that safe in the area. They did put in some efforts serving the breakfast at the roof-top, but failed in serving eatable food. Super friendly staff though...
