"Wonderful!"

Amazing hotel, beds are very comfortable and staff are friendly. The location is incredible. We saw a whale in the harbour after stepping outside the front doors of this hotel! My only wish was that you could take the stairs to your hotel room instead of only accessing via elevators, but I understand for safety reasons that they don't allow this.

"Sylvia Hotel is the best!"

What a beautiful hotel with a lot of history. The room and bed were extremely comfortable and it had great water pressure. The location is right across from the English Bay and couldn't be beat! Staff was great too!

"The best of Vancouver"

I love staying at the Sylvia and I stay there whenever I visit Vancouver. The rooms are spacious and very clean, food is very good and staff very friendly and helpful. All that and the best location. I find the price acceptable for what you get.

"Excellent location with character"

The location and set up were wonderful. It’s an older hotel that is comfortable but has maintained character. Kids loved walking to the beach each day. I would highly recommend the room with kitchen for families.

"A lovely stay"

A lovely, comfortable and characterful hotel with an interesting history in a great location. All the staff that we encountered were pleasant, friendly and helpful. The restaurant and bar where we enjoyed breakfast & dinner were comfortable & had great views of the bay. Our room was clean & comfortable as was the large room used by our Son's family - their young children and their dog were also made welcome. All in all, an enjoyable stay!

Emplacement idéal sur le bord de la baie des Anglais. Vieil hôtel avec beaucoup de cachet. Plus chaleureux que les grands hôtels modernes. Très bon restaurant, service parfait.

"The perfect escape"

Staying at the Sylvia is like taking a trip back in time to when service and style were important. The hotel is elegant, the location perfection. To stay at The Sylvia is to slow down regular life and enjoy the moment. Such a nice change from the cookie cutter, efficiency hotels. Well done and thank you.
