Suites & Villas by Dunas

The hotel is roughly a 10 minute walk from Maspalomas Beach. It is a complex which is family friendly so when I visited (February 2013) there were more families there than couples or singletons. The food is a Buffet and the quality is quite good with plenty of variety. My accommodation was an Apartment with a living room/Kitchenette, Bathroom & a Bedroom. It was clean and good value for money. I found the staff to be friendly & helpful. I would stay there again and recommend it to others.

This is a very high quality resort. Great efforts have been made in the design of the resort to make it relaxing and enjoyable. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The service at breakfast and dinner was excellent. The food was fresh and varied with a good choice.

Great hotel apart from a shortage of sun loungers by the pool. Most mornings we were too late, that is around 9:00am, to secure a sun lounger for the day. The staff were helpful and friendly. There was a wide selection of food which was good. We enjoyed our family break which was very restful.

This is a good family resort 20 min walk from the ocean. The area inside the resort is nice and clean and the staff is helpfull. The buffet is also good and a great variety of vegetables and meat/fish from day to day. Some dissapointment: The swimmingpool is too cold (same experience last year on Parque Cristobal) and only possibl to use for a short swim especially for kids. The Wifi system offer is bad, unstable and work only in the lobby. Check out Dunas Wifi which is operated by somebody else.

Had an excellent stay at the Dunas Suites and Villas. I found the entire grounds to be clean and the staff to go above and beyond for anything that one needed. I particularly enjoyed the full and big breakfast buffet, and Dinner that was included. The food was excellent. The pools are top notch and the area of Maspalomas was great. I highly recommend this over Playa Ingles which is loud and busy.

This is a hotel that will satisfy most of your needs. It is a fantastic family hotel but also good for couples or singles. Food is excellent. Service is very good. Close to the beach and bus station.

I have stayed at this hotel 3 times and would thoroughly recommend it to my friends. The staff are very friendly and try to make everyone feel welcome. The food is good and even though all meals are buffet style there is always a varied choice. Look forward to my next visit

This was the second time that we have chosen this hotel and we were not disappointed. The room is big and clean, the surranding and the gardens are fantastic with many different pools. If you can't stand small children don't chose this hotel as it is favorit place for families. The food (HB) was also fine, maybe a bit more variety would be good.

I would have been very pleased with this hotel if I had small children. Although there was a sign by the entrance saying "families welcome" or something similar, I hadn't picked up on that when I booked in a hurry, I should probably have done more research. It is an ideal place for families, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone travelling without children. Although the rooms were very nice (although some of the furniture was a bit tired) the walls were thin and we could hear every child's cry, every phone ring, every shower being taken. The food was really very good considering the numbers they are catering for and the staff were fantastic, always smiling, working so hard through every meal, they never stopped running around being polite and friendly to everybody. But don't expect a quiet meal when surrounded by high chairs! The location was ideal for us, we walked to the beach and to all the restaurants nearby (we gave up our pre-paid dinners and ate out instead for 5 of our 7 nights). Although we had a car, we could have managed without one in this location and parking at nearby restaurants and shopping was more of an effort than the easy walk around the area. All in all we had a good week in spite of being woken very early every day! The staff were the best I have experienced in a long time and the food was excellent. Although we won't be staying here again, I would certainly recommend it to families wanting an easy and fun holiday.

The suites were a good size and clean however the layout (in blocks of 4 suites) means that sound does travel between the rooms. Also depsite being a couple without children we were allocated a suite opposite the kids club (and the hotel was not full). There was plenty of choice on the food at meal times. The location was convenient and it was an easy (flat but c1.5km) walk to Maspalomas beach and there are commercial centres close by. Overall it was a good hotel and you did not feel on top of each, exactly what you would expect from this kind of hotel in Gran Canaria.
