Beautiful house and grounds. Excellent food, really lovely staff

Dark everywhere, in our room it was impossible to read. Really awful lighting. Had to use iPhone torch to read bar menu

Facilities were lovely, room was clean and spacious with extremely comfortable bed, staff very friendly. Cocktails and bar snacks, especially the fries were very good. Good continental breakfast spread. The spa was wonderful. The grounds of the property was beautiful even in the drizzle.

The room was SO dark we couldn’t see the buttons on the remote control, we had asked for an extra lamp which helped a little but still extremely “moody” lightening. Cooked breakfast took a while to arrive and there was a mix up with the gluten free bread - good thing I’m not celiac.
