Magnuson Hotel Dixon

The owner, Bob, was very nice. He welcomed us to the hotel and bar. My grilled cheese was good. The problem is this place needs an overhaul! The tubs looked like they threw acid on it toilets were mildewed. It didn’t feel stable to stand in it. Cleanliness is not a priority.

The room itself was clean. However the back entrance was littered with garbage. The back door entrance wasn't locked. No real clear direction on which door to enter to get to the rooms. The foyer smelled horrible of cigarettes. The room smelled like cigarettes even tho it is a non smoking hotel. Even the bedding had a slight odd unpleasant odor. The blanket was covered in black hairs and stained. The curtains were falling off the rid as well. Nothing was plugged in. When I went to plug in a side lamp, the cord had been rewired together and left exposed. The mattress wouldn't stay in the bed and sliding off. I had no choice but to stay since my room was nonrefundable. I paid $67 for the room.

The room was disgusting and smelled of cigarette smoke. Upon further inspection, someone dumped cigarette ashes in the air conditioner unit. The bed was stained with bodily fluids. Do not waste your time and money going to this hotel.

Nothing but filth and disgust from the moment we walked into the interior from parking area. You name it, gross, dirty, broken, filthy.

The worst motel that we ever stayed in.

Staff were very friendly. Conditions of hotel deteriorating. Bathroom shower gray with dirt towels seem to be used and not cleaned. Nice for one night sleep only.

Not one thing about the property, I believe it was contaminated with mold.

It smells terrible in there, mostly in the hallway. The room is dirty and old, but I was only there for the bed (also no the whitest sheets) so I got what I paid for. Really cheap room and wasn’t looking for much. The hotel is very handicap accessible except for the room I got. Everything was accessible except the bathroom shower.

Had to wait hours for my room because they didn’t have anything on file from Expedia even though I had receipts online and the money was taken out the account for the room. I’m not sure who is at fault but this was an unpleasant experience and won’t be booking through Expedia any longer

Decent rooms, mattress and bedding was comfortable. Definitely worth more than we paid for the night. Would definitely stay again.
