"Definitely a bed & breakfast worth staying at when visiting Gettysburg."

8.0

Historic property with perfect access to museums, the battlefield and downtown shops and restaurants. The owners were lovely people and Steve was very knowledgeable about the surrounding history. Teresa served breakfast that was both delicious and very filling.

The shower in our room was a bit small and I kept hitting my legs and feet on the metal bed frame. The people who stayed in the room above us were very noisy late at night. The wooden floors were squeaky but then again, it is a 150+ year old farmhouse.

"Less than pleasant …… unfortunately!"

4.0

The basement game room was pretty neat and there was ample parking for the guests. It was easy to get in & out of the building.

The bed was small and uncomfortable. The breakfast was less than good. The walls and ceilings had paint peeling in places, the floors are very squeaky, the toilet was low, small, and difficult to flush, and the room was very very cramped with little room for luggage.

The free breakfast on both days we stayed was excellent. The owners knew the history of the Inn and of the battles. We really enjoyed our stay.

Breakfast was incredible. Steve and Teresa are very well versed in the history of Gettysburg and the Lightner Farmhouse. As well as very knowledgeable and helpful with things to do and places to see. The LightnerFarmhouse is restored beautifully, and has plenty of history. The rooms are comfortable, decorated with period pieces and have bathrooms. Also Plenty of parking. Quick and easy drive to downtown Gettysburg and attractions.

"We came for the history and enjoyed the hospitality. We would definitely return!"

8.0

The breakfast was exceptional, well balanced and beautifully presented as well as delicious! The Farmhouse was set on a well manicured lawn and surroundings. We enjoyed the unique decor which was part historic part the owners personal collections. Our host and hostess were very hospitable, and we enjoyed the discussions related to the history of the house and the area.

The bathroom was adequate, but the sink and the area around it were underwhelming. The seating options in the bedroom were not very functional, and certainly not comfortable for sitting.

A fantastic B & B. Steeped in Civil War History and just outside of Gettysburg. The breakfast was all fresh and home made. It was the best breakfast at any B & B we have ever stayed at. The owners were very accommodating and shared the home’s history as well as advice on visiting Gettysburg and the surrounding area.
