Louis Ledra Beach

The location of the hotel is absolutely perfect, it is right on the beach front and a 15min walk to the city centre and the castle. The hotel has been renovated so it looks relatively modern and has many facilities.

I have been at 4 star hotels that are more clean and provided me with better food and drinks. Majority of the people at the hotel are on a half board or full basis. I was at the hotel on a bed and breakfast basis. I went to the bar to get two cocktails, firstly they were the most disgusting cocktails I've ever had and made me feel like a child that it got served in a plastic cup. My room wasn't great and it had this huge stain on the chair that was horrible to watch, had to cover it with a towel. We asked for a double bed and we received a two single bed joined together. I understand some hotels do this , but they join from the matress. These did not. Overall, there a lot of activities for both children and adults. Staff is great! There was a lovely young man on the reception but I could not remember his name :(

Staff was great, very friendly and eager to help, very professional. Room was nice and clean but A/c not working that well. Breakfast was very nice, otherwise food in the pool area not so good. Needs some reinnovation in the public areas. Pool area kind of noisy.

Pros- On beach, nice pool area, nice lounge chairs, Friendly welcome by reception and bell boy Cons- Basic design error in hotel lobby, so if you are a non-smoker, this hotel will suck for you. The smoking area is right outside the lobby doors where people access the pool area so a whif of second had smoke comes and and stays in! You are forced to suffer if you need wifi to check into your flight, for example. Also, pillows are thick, hard, and uncomfortable. The maid in Rm 155 NEVER MOPPED THE FLOOR ONCE even after telling this to the reception TWICE. I could see the shiny floor with drips of not shiny areas of dirtyness. Receptionist sent us on a wild goose chase from 7:30pm to 8:30pm on a restaurant recommendation with poor directions, no reservation (she had problems calling the number) and no address and we NEVER found the resto and were starving once we found another one.
