The Ritz-Carlton Beijing

Writing this review while sitting in their hotel room Pro: location is great Service is nice, staff is friendly. The front desk upgraded my room. Allowed late check-out, which is thoughtful. Con: Doorman service is almost none. You can see them but there’s no service. Left a note when I booked the room saying need them to decorate the room a bit for occasions, no one prepared the room. Or asked me if I still need to prepare the room ( after upgrade). Room is way too outdated Room is not so clean, some places even dirty. Beddings not clean, called to get it replaced. Waited for around 30 mins. Allot dirt around socket. Not going to stay here again. Don’t think it’s up-to a 5 star hotel standard, especially not for Ritz- Carlton

Mr. Allen and Mr. Sky are a dream team! They made sure my stay was incredible. By far the best hotel management I’ve experienced. I’ll be back!

I moved around 5-star hotels in Beijing in Dec 2022. And this one unfortunately is the worst (China World Summit Wing, Four Seasons, and Peninsula were among the best). I don't feel it deserves a 5-star rating. The interior looks quite old, worn out, a bit run down. The hallway and my room in particular smells cigarettes. Air conditioning doesn't work in my room. Feels like the hotel is badly managed. The only good thing is that the front desk staff was very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast buffet was quite good. But overall, you won't get a 5-star experience from this hotel.

6 stars to the hotel restaurant chef. He is one of a kind, and I really appreciated the special service he offered.l I was at the hotel for a period of 6 weeks, and he served a special, made different dinner for me at the lounge every day. Service like this makes a traveler very happy, and this makes sure that I will always use this hotel whenever I have to be in Beijing.

With the beginning of 2022. We hanged out together in Ritz Carlton for the Afternoon Tea Time at the Lounge. The service is great from the beginning. From the gate of bellman opening the door with his sincere smile inside the masks. I can feel his working attitude. Especially I would like to point out the employee in the Lounge Summer Huang. Her service is so great. She can sense the detail refilling the water when empty. Thanks for your service!!!!! Thank you

The experience at Ritz Carlton Beijing has been quite unpleasant. For starters, the place is worn down, and the room that I stayed in had an unpleasant odor smell. The walls are thin and the service level in terms of efficiency has a need for improvement. It is not worth the money you are spending per night.

This Ritz-Carlton has an aged feel, which in several ways adds to its charm and appeal. The breakfast was not at the level I was expecting, especially the coffee, but my room rate was quite affordable at the time of my stay. The outdoors view over the area was excellent and the room was clean and amenities to standard. After requesting ice and calling twice, it still took half an hour to receive the ice in our room, much longer than I was expecting. Most other aspects of this hotel were exceptional.
