Travelodge by Wyndham La Porte/Michigan City Area

It was an average place to stay. Breakfast was cereal, toast or yogurt. Coffee or juice.

Air conditioning was out on a 92° day and they refused to give refund.

The floor was filthy, there was pubic hair in the tub and something sticky that was spilled on the nightstand. The breakfast was limited and the hard boiled eggs were frozen. However, the bed was comfortable.

Almost $100 a night is way too much money for the night. The chair in my room at the table was peeling pieces of black film that kept falling off and getting on my clothes and were always over the floor.

The lady at the cront desk was very nice, professional and pleasant .

Room stunk and toilet didn’t work

I thought the $20 a night for our little dog was to high.

Room felt dirty. Maybe the fact it looks old. But maybe a more modern look would make the stay look and feel clean

Honestly, I can't think of anything.

I've been to many hostels, hotels, motels and inns around the world from Canada, Japan, China, Korea, Ireland, Iceland, South Africa, Chile, New Zealand, Spain, Cambodia and etc. Overall at least 15 countries around the world. 1. I cannot believe that I am writing this, and I hope it wasn't what I suspect. The bedding smelled like man's biological fluid. It wasn't noticeable when the bed was fully covered by the blanket, but after opened it wide, I could sense the specific smell. I am seriously wondering if the bedding was ever changed or washed. 2. Breakfast, eggs you can have is limited to 2. Many things are limited, then why would you put "breakfast inlcuded"? At least one of places I stayed during the trip, they didn't mention that there's a breakfast option, yet they offered with limited amount - this, I'm fine because I know what I'm paying doesn't include the breakfast, however This Travelodge's breakfast is one of the worst. 3. Extremely suspicious parking lot - my wife and I took out our dog and walking around. There's a car parked in the parking lot but it was on for awhile, probably more than 10 minutes, then a couple came out, the woman checked the door of car parked right next to it and then they went to their room. Travelodge really should've done something about their parking for better security. 4. Wipe the tables and desk for real. It's dusty and disgusting. It's the hotel policy, sure, the price for one night for two people was 75.61, and pet fee is additional 20. I can't believe that I paid 95.61 for this. Also, fix the bathtub divider or whatever, it's none of my business but the horribly maintained bathtub area makes the water splash and the water flows along the wall liner and floods the floor.
