Hilton Garden Inn Solomons

Very helpful desk staff. Breakfast. You can walk to the Ann Marie Sculpture Gardens. The main area of Solomons shopping / dining is an easy 5 minute drive.

It was fine but the pool wasn’t open which was a bummer as it was in the 90’s and the kids were really looking forward to swimming. Otherwise it was clean and had everything we needed for a quick one night stay.

Convenient location and next to a good restaurant and brewery.

Very disappointing place. Poor service, overcharged for parking , pool closed on holiday weekend and no one said a thing at check in. Would definitely not recommend or return. When I called to speak to the general manager- 4 times my call was never returned.

I felt like I was inconveniencing the lady at the front desk while I was checking in.

During check inn. I feel like the warmth of being welcomed wasn’t very open. My wife and are very out going people and an inner mix husband and wife, and I felt the dynamic of the staff felt otherwise. I guess that’s not being warmed and fuzzy, however the cleaning lady on the second floor could offer a lot personality skills to the check in staff. She asked about our stay what brought us to the Hilton had we stayed before were are you from, just very personable to include the hospitality at breakfast so humble.

Close to other restaurants.

Both indoor and outdoor pools were closed, we were never informed! We should have been informed prior to arriving. We had kids with us and not booked here because you had two pools! Our room was never cleaned for our entire stay! I ask for more towels, I had to go down to the front desk to get them. We are charged for parking?!?! Why isn’t this included in the room charge?

Considering I didn't get to stay at THIS property, I'll keep it on my list of properties NOT to look at when HI is booked. Imagine walking in after a LONG drive and be greeted with, "I'm sorry we overbooked. Please drive 12 miles out of your way to get to where you're staying tonight."

We recently stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn in Solomons, Maryland for 5 days/4 nights, and unfortunately, the experience fell far below expectations — especially for a Hilton-branded property. We chose this hotel specifically for its outdoor pool, which was a major factor in our vacation planning. Upon arrival, we learned the pool was closed for the entire duration of our stay — with no notice whatsoever before or during booking. That lack of communication was extremely frustrating and misleading. Check-in was also delayed well past the 4:00 PM time due to staffing issues, and instead of offering an apology or assistance, the front desk staff was short and unprofessional. A little courtesy would have gone a long way. Even more concerning was the lack of housekeeping. Our room was never cleaned once throughout our 5-day/4-night stay. No fresh towels, no trash emptied, no beds made, no vacuuming — and we even ran out of toilet paper with none stocked in the room. It felt like we were completely on our own. While we understand that hotels may be dealing with staffing challenges, communication, basic hospitality, and cleanliness are non-negotiables — especially from a brand like Hilton. This stay was a major letdown and unfortunately added unnecessary frustration to our vacation. Additionally, we were traveling with family who had two additional rooms booked, and they experienced the exact same issues—delayed check-in, no notice about the pool, and poor customer service. What was supposed to be a relaxing family getaway turned into a disappointing and stressful experience, and it’s clear the hotel fell far short of the standards one would expect from a Hilton property. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and makes the necessary improvements to better serve future guests.
