Travelodge by Wyndham Kalispell

I was in this hotel 14 years ago. Now is 14 times worst then was.

The staff was nice checking in and checking out. The location was nice. The parking was easy.

The rooms smelled like someone was still smoking in them. The trim along the bottom of the walls was falling off. The carpet was bunched up. The beds were hard, and the pillows were awful. Terrible night's sleep.

Cheap price

This was a very old hotel and not in great shape. It's the type of building you get bed bugs from and are not surprised because it looks run down. They literally had long term rentals there, and that typically brings pretty odd people in. Had a guy that kept smoking weed outside our window in his pajamas.

Bathroom light flashed

The front desk is extremely rude and was unwilling to assist in any way. He simply could not be bothered.

The room was very clean. Chance, front desk, was very friendly and polite.

Great location and very friendly, knowledgeable and extremely helpful staff. Beds were comfortable.

Bathrooms were not very clean, there was hair on the shower walls, mold on the rim of the bathtub, peeling wall paper.

Basically clean

Poor maintenance, repairs needed. Bad smell, like old cigars in hallways. Lamp beside bed unplugged. Staff merely made a note of it. We had to pull bed away from wall to replug it. Sink stopper not working. Shower/tub valve leaking. Curtains over couch not connected to all hooks; I rehung them. Police were called to the facilities due to some disturbance. We paid $150 for this. We later stayed at Marriott for only $20 more. It was perfect.

The water was not hot and did not allow a decent shower. The plumbing made a banging sound for much of the night. The bathrooms showed old mold.
