Halong Plaza Hotel

Lovely hotel, clean, big rooms, very nice staff, great food. Location is quiet. Not many restaurants/bars around hotel so forced to eat at hotel however food at hotel was very good particularly the nightly seafood buffet

Good base for the area, better than an 8 hour return car/bus trip from Hanoi if your thinking about a trip on a Junk. Rooms were large, clean and well equipped. Staff a bit stand off'ish but OK if you persevered. Pool was good, but no staff on, we have to ask for drinks etc at the bar two floors away. While the hotel is out of the centre the cost of a taxi is minimal and they are easily found. Two or three nights is enough for the area. At check out we were asked to explain where our two coffee spoons had gone, when we denied stealing them staff were dispatched to double check and once found we were allowed to check out!

I stayed in the hotel with my husband for 3D/2N. The hotel is is clean. The room is neat, comfortable and quite spacious. We had difficulty coordinating with the staff because they speak very minimal English. Unfortunately for us, we came at a time when there was some construction going on the other side of the hotel and it was quite loud.

overpriced. very nice hotel and very clean but not overly friendly. We had no TV and had issues with machines in the gym. Too expensive compared to others but did have more facilities

The stay was ok in HaLong Bay because of the people outside of the hotel and the scenery. The service level was low, and not helpfull at all, many rules I dont even understand why they implement, I was going to HaLong Bay to visit my gf and didnt think it would be a problem for her to stay at the hotel with me. To have her stay at the hotel with me they wanted me to rent a seperate room for her as we are not married, and it was no way for them to budge on this, I really dont understand why they have such a rule and it is stupod and makes me not want to go back to this hotel just for the reason they show now understanding no matter the problem. They want money for everything, and more than is told in adds and so on. resturant is ok, but not more, location is ok, but not good far better options in HaLong Bay at this price.
