Oban Inn

The Oban Inn is looking run-down, and is in need of some maintenance. Stayed 4 Nights in June. The restaurant food was excellent ( I recommend it), and the rooms were very clean, but the staff’s attention to detail is poor and the condition of the Inn itself is in need of maintenance. Multiple windows (in rooms and in the restaurant dining room) have had their seals broken leaving unsightly condensation stains for guests to look at while they eat (see photos). Regarding the staff’s attention to detail - the restaurant menu provided in the rooms is not current – the actual restaurant menu was different, so don’t get set on your order hopes up before you arrive, and the in-room coffee machines have not been descaled in years. Additionally, paint is peeling all around the outside of the building, and the entrance to the Inn is covered in old spider webs in the corners that simply needed to be swept away.

Nice and friendly staff. Quiet and convenient location. Really close to the lake. Enjoyed our stay.

We stayed here for 1 night in a balcony room. The room was of the traditional style and quite small however the balcony was a nice addition. There was ample parking and beautiful gardens. The staff were excellent. We didn't try the restaurant.

The Oban Inn is charming. A quiet getaway from the hussel and bussel of the downtown and yet an easy walk from all the action.

I booked this solo trip to celebrate a milestone birthday. It was everything I wanted. Quiet, relaxing and peaceful. The building is beautiful, the spa was amazing. Im hoping to plan another visit in the future.
