Uptown Inn

The worst room we ever stayed at and we stayed at many! Our bath room wasn't clean very good. The tub had dirt and around the tub you could see mold. The tile was dirty too! After showering I had to stepped on a dirty floor, no bath rug. The tub didn't have a tub mat either. The towels were so thin you could see thru them. The toilet paper was a 1/2 ply and just had 1/2 a roll we had to asked for more. No Kleenex or make-up mirror. The second day we left for a funeral and when we came back I notice the earwig I stepped on in the bathroom the night before and a piece of paper was still on the floor so I know they didn't sweep. To change the TV we had to aim the remote control all the way to the back side of the TV which meant we had to get out of bed to change the channels or to change the vol. or turn the TV off. Very annoying!! Had only one hanger to hang both our dress up clothes. I hung my husband's and mine outfits together! The 2 bed pillows were so thin we felt like we didn't use a pillow. The bed made me scratch all night.. My husband is a coffee drinker, NO COFFEE in room. We know not to go there on our next trip to Long Beach!

This motel did not honor our Expedia reservation - and were not even nice about it!

Strong smell of cigarette, room dirty, the refrigerator in the room was old and was not working. Rundown room with a new flat screen TV

The location is decent. The room is decent for the price. My only issue was with the fact that I had to wait for the woman's husband to get back in order to be checked in. The wife and another woman barely spoke English and had no idea what to do.

The room was a lot smaller than expected. The room is essentially just big enough to fit the queen bed in and have one person walk in the spaces left. It was enough for myself and my girlfriend since we simply planned to go out on Long Beach. The TV was said to have cable but the control did not work and the only channel on there was some never ending ballet show. Luckily we had an HDMI cable to plug my computer onto. The room had a cool little small fridge, microwave and coffee brewer so that was nice, not to mention the AC which was great for how hot the room would get. All in all, if youre looking for place to relax as if it were your own room, this is it.

The room was dirty. the sheets looked as though they hadn't been washed in weeks. When we entered the bathroom there was human feces in the toilet, and every time we flushed the toilet the feces would eventually reappear. There was a half of a roll of toilet paper in the bathroom and no extra rolls. In the middle of the night we awoke to a horrible smell. I went into the bathroom and the toilet had filled up with feces to the rim. At this point the toilet wouldn't even flush, so we spent an entire night and morning in a room harvesting other motel patrons waste. Outside our rooms door were buckets filled with trash, dirty water, and god knows what else. There were tools/paint cans/etc being used as maintenance on the rooms littered all over the property. The man working at the motel also tried to double charge my credit card for the price of the room. We were beyond unhappy with our experience.
