Americas Best Value Inn Gainesville TX

I've stopped in twice in the last couple of months, once with my husband and once with my granddaughter. They have the most reasonable rates for what you get, making Americas Best Value Inn a good choice. They offer a continental breakfast, but I chose to visit Rumpy's Bakery, so I haven't tried the inn's breakfast. Both times, the rooms were clean and the desk clerks were friendly and helpful. Ill probably be staying there again.

IT WAS AN AWFUL EXPERIENCE...THE MAN THAT CHECKED US IN WAS RUDE AND UNFRIENDLY...DID NOT APPRECIATE THE BUSINESS MY ROOM WAS GIVEN AWAY EVEN THOUGH I CHECKED IN AT 330PM WHEN I RETURNED IT WAS OCCUPIED BY SOMEONE ELSE.

Was alot better than what I was expecting. Clean room, comfortable and the staff was very pleasant. I would definitely recommend and I will definitely use again when visiting the area next time.

The first thing that you notice is how small the room and bathroom are small. The linen was not fresh. My wife found a bug (?) on the sheets. Cheaper is not always good. Will be more careful not time.

We were just staying one night to attend a concert at the casino in Thackerville. The motel was only about a 10 minute drive across the state line. The room was spacious enough and included a tabe with chairs, a desk area, small fridge, microwave and a comfortable king size bed. It also had a nice flat screen TV, coffee maker and blow dryer. It was clean, everything worked, the staff was friendly and accommodating and the price was great!

Went to stick card key in door and door popped open immediately called management told them the door would not lock and the dead bolt won't work at all. They processed to argue with us on how to lock door. We told them we had already tried all that and we needed maintenance and they said they would send maintenance an the two days we were there maintenance never came. We had to prop chair against door while we slept. Had to put all our stuff in car every time we left. The card reader constantly was going off signaling illegal entry but no one checked and as far as the five star rating given in reviews this will never be a five star but it could be a three star plus motel. Parking lot was well lit but it was noisy all night hard to sleep and beds need new mattresses. Walls were clean appliances worked had clean linen but carpet was dirty had grasshoppers crickets and numerous other bugs in the room. If you pay more than $35 per night you are paying to much. I believe the person who gave five star review was a relative or friend to promote the business. I would have ask for 1/2 my money back but they would have denied me.

Convenient and good value on the main highway through Gainesville. Easy in and out. Comfortable room. Close to many restaurants. Parking right outside your door. Not many extras, but all I needed was a good place to sleep. Just going through town on business.

My husband and I broke down in Gainesville, TX while traveling to Oklahoma City. The company that towed us to the auto shop and hotel recommended this hotel because it was right across the street. This hotel was horrible and sketchy. Everything was falling apart in the hotel room, the air wouldn't work, and the bed felt like an elephant has slept in it every night for 10 years. We were stuck without a vehicle for the night and couldn't even find a vending machine. Definitely not worth $65 for one sleepless night.

We asked to have non smoking rooms because 9 time out of 10 the smoking rooms is where they allow dogs and the rooms smell high high heaven. The manager stated that she could put us in a non smoking room but if it smelled like smoke she was gonna charge us extra. So we took the smoking room. One Co worker had problems getting into his room! The shower is best suited for children. My air conditioner was set at 60 and my room was still 90. It was cooler to go outside than to stay on my room. Outside was nearly 100 with heat index. They care about putting smokers in smoking rooms and charging them extra than they are on the maintenance. Spend the extra 10 dollars and go down the road.
