Steigenberger ALDAU Beach Hotel

Hôtel hors norme. Jardin fantastique qui demande un entretien de haute voltige. Le personnel se souvient des détails concernant les clients. Il y a régulièrement des petites attentions qui font très plaisir. Le choix de nourriture est fabuleux. Partout dans l'établissement des détails ppur embellir les vacances du clientn. Une de mes meilleures expériences d'hôtellerie.

Das Steigenberger Aldau Beach Hotel hat unsere Erwartungen in vielerlei Hinsicht übertroffen. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das ausgezeichnete Essen – die Auswahl war vielfältig, frisch und qualitativ auf sehr hohem Niveau. Hier findet wirklich jeder etwas Passendes. Auch das Personal verdient ein grosses Lob: durchweg freundlich, aufmerksam und stets bemüht, den Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu gestalten. Man fühlt sich vom ersten Moment an willkommen und bestens betreut. Die Zimmer sind grosszügig, sauber und komfortabel eingerichtet. Ebenso beeindruckend ist die gesamte Hotelanlage – sehr gepflegt, weitläufig und wunderschön gestaltet, sodass man sich rundum wohlfühlen kann. Einziger kleiner Minuspunkt: Am Pool bzw. Strand hätte etwas mehr „Beach Club“-Musik für eine noch entspanntere und modernere Atmosphäre sorgen können. Insgesamt aber ein absolut gelungener Aufenthalt – wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen!

Het terrein met prachtige tuinen tot in de puntjes verzorgd. Zwembaden met Lazy River, locatie aan het strand. Heerlijk eten, goede faciliteiten. Rustige sfeer, zeer attent personeel maar niet opdringerig. Echt fantastisch verblijf gehad.

Het terras wat tussen 16 en 19 uur in de zon lag was helaas niet in gebruik. Dat was echt enige verbeterpunt.

The rooms were well appointed and clean. The beds and pillows were comfortable and we slept very well. Our rooms were kept very clean and we were happy about that The beach area afforded a lot of privacy and was well kept. I highly recommend the Tango restaurant - thank you to the staff there who were the friendliest to us the whole trip, especially Ahmed. The reception staff were also very friendly, Martin, Sivia and Omar. They made our trip feel special.

The food in the main restaurant is inconsistent compared to other Steingenbergers in Egypt. The pitas at lunch and dinner were rock hard and one morning the soup was so salty, I was compelled to tell the chef who later rectified it. The food at the Steinenberger Cairo was way better. For better food and service I recommend booking their specialty restaurants like Tango that does Mediterranean food or their sushi restaurant. A big downside was the feeling that kids weren't welcomed at Aldau compared to Aquamagic. The kids club activities were anemic and they didn't have variety. They catered more to younger kids and not the 7-11 age group. The recreation supervisor at Aldau, Selim, scolded my son and some other kids for making noise in the lazy river, which I felt was unwarranted, since I was there, and their noise level was normal for children. Another guest on a previous day scolded and grabbed my son's friend when he accidentally splashed water on him. This made me wonder if people book Aldau thinking it's an adults-only resort and the staff are instructed to keep the children in line. We are unlikely to come back, and will probably book Aqua magic next time.
