Amalia Hotel Nafplio

It was a very relaxing location. It had a lovely swimming pool for adults with lots of sun loungers and a brilliant view of the hills and mountains. Always a lifeguard on duty. Lots of beautiful flowers, bougainvillea trailing bushes and jacaranda trees. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Great view from our room across to Nafplio and the Palamidi fortress. We stayed for ten nights and explored the whole region around Napflio. A very good base. Nice tennis court too. A lovely holiday.

Arrived as a part of a bus tour. Staff were very efficient, attentive, and helpful. Buffets were very good, grounds are beautiful.

This was my second stay at the Amalia Hotel. I liked Nafplion so much that I just had to come back. Because I was so happy to stay at the Amalia the last time I choose to stay here again.

We stayed several nights here as a part of a tour group which appears to be the main custom. Located outside town and somewhat isolated. More of a resort situation with pool, conferencing facilities Quite spacious common areas and rooms. Need to taxi into town for shopping and dining options. But peaceful. Food offering extremely limited and poor. Staff totally not aligned with knowledge, understanding and guidance. Buffet dinner, but not replenished and quite limited. Snacks and a la carte but can’t eat in the bar/lounge, need to sit in the canteen, and most items not available. Really confusing. Refurbed 2009 and very tired now. Carpet and floors filthy. Stairs not swept or mopped. Seek a boutique offering in town.

Very clean. Great view on the palamidi castle. Great geographical position. Nice little surprise at our arrival in the room with the bottle of wine and baclava.

Great hotel. Full size tub and plenty of space in bathroom. Nice courtyard for relaxing. Yummy dinner and excellent bar/lounge area to hangout at the end of a looong day of touring! Bartender Anastasio makes the best apple martini I’ve ever had!! 5 Stars on the martini!

Amalia hotels are great. I stayed at the one in Athens as well and they do not disappoint. Hotel and room was very clean. Breakfast choices were great and lots to choose from. Dining area is beautiful. We did not get to use the pool as it was closed due to the season but looked beautiful. You do need a car to get to the city center. Farm areas around the hotel look great.

Lovely spacious hotel. There two coach parties staying when we there but still lots of room for everyone. Rooms are lovely, stunning setting and nice buffet breakfast. Hotel is not state of the art modern but is quietly elegant. The only problem we had is that my son left behind his favourite swimming shorts and beach towel drying outside his room. When I phoned the following day we were told that they hadn’t been found although he knew he left them there.
