"Generally pleasant, but overpriced, even given the overpriced season."

5.0

Convenient location to Acadia National Park and downtown Bar Harbor restaurants and whale watching.

The Looking Glass Restaurant is strangely closed on Tuesdays so guests must find other locations outside the property, a major inconvenience. Although there are thermostats in the room, they do not work and apparently no central air conditioning. Instead there was one very noisy and inefficient room air conditioner that made it difficult to sleep. During our stay temperatures were close to 90 degrees and admittedly this could be unusual in Maine, but at over $500 per night, the management should invest in central a/c for what appears to be a warming trend in Northeast.
