Great National Hotel Ballina

Room was outdated, and the carpet was very stained. Mattress needed replacing. The food was very good.

We stayed in hotel for 1 night but we had such a good sleep and time. Rooms are very spacious and so comfortable.

the double bed was awful. the pillow depth made it impossible to sleep on... everything else with hotel was very good including the food

Booked 2 nights at this "4 star hotel" visiting family nearby. Check in was grand except we booked easter break package which was supposed to have easter eggs for the kids on arrival we never saw them. Room was a fine size and clean no complaints. Sink stopper was stuck could not empty the sink asked reception to sort 3 times at the third time of asking it was fixed. But what ruined the whole stay for us was the wedding that kept us up both nights. In their wisdom they thought putting a family unrelated to the wedding across from the room the bridesmaids were using to get ready and as a party venue post wedding. Shouting all night til around 5am. At one point someone tried to get into our room which frightened the life out of the kids. Reception couldn't really care less we asked to be moved after the first night but told it wasn't possible. Sleep is the one service a hotel needs to provide. Having paid good hard earned money to be kept awake has me quite enraged. Unacceptable for a hotel!

Very good breakfast.

Didn’t like hotel guests eating breakfast in their pyjamas and no shoes on. Made me feel very uncomfortable. They should have been asked to change by hotel staff My bed was shoved. Into corner of room between window and TV. Had no headboard on bed to sit up in. Couldn’t see TV either. No bedside lockers or electric socket to charge phone near my bed. The whole experience of that made me very upset and raging about the price I paid. I didn’t realise that Breakfast wasn’t included in the package either. So to say I’m disappointed with the whole experience is is an understatement

Nice hotel, clean, comfortable, spacious room, gym well equipped for a hotel. Breakfast was excellent.

A little bit far outside of town centre. Gym could do with a dusting down !
