The Forum

No coffee anywhere on the property. Need have so me in the main area. Lines at coffee shops were ridiculous- they went around the block. Expedia said I had pool view and I did not. was stuck under a set of stairs. Expedia also said my room had a couch and there wasn't one. I will call the office next time and double check before booking. The office manager didn't seem to care nor could he do anything about it.

My family and I have been going to OCNJ since my kids were little. Always had a great time. This was the first time staying at The Forum. Although the weather did not, unfortunately, cooperate, The Forum was outstanding. We have stayed in shore motels before, but the room here was exceptionally clean and unlike other such motels, we had 2 queen size beds, which were very comfortable. The motel has a very nice and clean pool, which due to weather conditions, we opted not to use. The Forum is a couple of minutes from the Boardwalk and near shopping and restaurants. Kumar who greeted us at the front desk was outstanding and made the trip very pleasurable as was Jay.. Kumar provided my wife a complimentary beach bag and our daughters with cute stuffed animals. I would definitely go back to The Forum without any hesitation and highly recommend this motel if you are looking for reasonable-priced, exceptionally clean shore motel that is right near the Boardwalk and its attractions.

My family and I had a great experience. The front desk staff was friendly and accommodating. The pool felt great and was a perfect location from our room.

Clean, friendly-- great location

Positives: updated and clean rooms, great outdoor pool, very close to boardwalk and other restaurants. Negatives: - Front desk did not answer the phone numerous times before and during our stay. - One big problem (heavy bathroom door came off the sliders) was not fixed as of check out time despite being reported an hour after we checked in and then again that evening and the next morning. This issue created a dangerous environment for the children (heavy door leaning against a partial wall) and we had no privacy in the bathroom during our stay. Outcome: Saw the manager during checkout and requested our night be fully refunded. He said he could not do that but offered me a 20% refund. I agreed and told him I would still write a poor review...he responded that he would rescind the refund if I did that. Final thoughts: I think the manager's hands were tied on the refund so the Ownership needs to reconsider that policy. I wouldn't stay at the Forum or the Atlantic (same ownership) again.
