Osborne Hotel

Beautifully presented hotel on a quiet street in central Valletta. Swimming pool on the roof was welcome in the sunshine with incredible views across the city.

Nice location of the hotel, in the very centre of Valletta, but in a relatively quiet part of the city. Nice and tasty breakfasts with an extra glass of prosecco, which is a nice bonus. The rooms were clean and comfortable.

The staff did not allow the quests to take a little bit of water to their thermos flasks from the jar in the dining room. This was really irritating, as such restrictions spoil the generally good impression of the hotel. The rooms should be equipped with shoe horns, irons and ironing boards - these were the amenities which were missing.

The view was so beautiful it made me cry (we were in the top roof by the pool). My husband is an artist and loved drawing from here. The bed and pillows were fantastic. Staff helpful, gorgeous breakfast. Loved being able to sit out on the roof terrace with dipping pool. Easy to walk to everywhere and quiet at night. Beautiful gondola trip to three cities.

Loved everything. Pool is very tiny (four breast stokes in length). Nice to cool off though.

Excellent location of the hotel, in the city centre, but not next to noisy restaurants. The traffic was quite limited, just the deliveries and taxis. Breakfasts were very tasty and there were many things to choose from. The rooms were nice and cosy, the roof terrace with a small swimming pool is an additional asset. There was also a nice bar downstairs.

The thing which really made me angry was the attitude of some of the people from the staff. One morning I wanted to fill my thermos flask with water at the breakfast restaurant before leaving the hotel, and I was refused by the service people. They claimed that it was not hygienic, which was nonsence, as the water would be poured to a container which had no contact with my lips, I drink from the termos flask from an attached cup. I was told that I was entitled to just one bottle of water which was delivered to my room during the service hours (the bottles were very small, only 300 ml). Refusing a guest a bit of water spoiled my good impression of the hotel which I had until then. Another thing which I found disappointing was lack of some small amenities in my room, such as a shoe horn or an ironing board.

Sehr freundliches Personal, gleich beim Einchecken wurden wir zusätzlich über die Sehenswürdigkeiten und To Do's in Malta informiert (das hatte ich bis jetzt noch nie in einem Hotel), sehr zentrale Lage, trotzdem ruhig. Frühstück sehr gut und ausreichende Auswahl. Zimmer sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet.

Kaffee beim Frühstück hat mir nicht geschmeckt.

The room was spacious with sensational view of harbour and Cathedral. Staff were friendly and helpful. One of the cleanest hotel I've stayed in - highly recommended.
