Hopkins Bay Belize a Muy'Ono Resort

The staff was phenomenal. They really went out of their way to be helpful. Food and drinks were great. The virgin menu was a hit with my wife who does not drink. Many choices of things she had never had. Never had had a meal that we did not thoroughly enjoy. The use of the bikes and kayaks made for some nice side trips. I really liked being on the side were the locals lived. Much more authentic experience. The only reason I give it a four instead of a five is the walls are thin. We stayed a week and and had three different neighbors below us and could hear pretty much every conversation. That was annoying. The biting flies were a bit of a pain and came home with a lot of welts. Not sure there is anything that could be done about these. Overall we had a great stay and would recommend this resort.

The hospitality of this place was top notch. Shaq was a great bartender and was a pleasure to chat with. They set up an zipline & caving tube that was soo cool. We only stayed 3 nights but the town was very local, used the bikes they had on hand. There was another resort right next door in walking distance with more dining options too. Good vibes.

Loved this resort. Rooms were great. Staff very friendly and helpful. Resort was clean and well maintained. Kayaks and paddleboards available to watch sunrise or sunset. We went on island expedition and the the ruins.

My experience was fantastic I really enjoyed my stay. N I also wanna tank Miss Zamira Reyes for having such a wonderful Hospitality ❤️she made everything a great experience to be there.

Pretty nice resort. Some customers are very friendly. Room is nice and clean.

The massages are a scam. The lady came up to us and told us 65 Belize dollars, turned out to be 65 USD dollars, which makes a big difference! Also some of the staff is not friendly or get annoyed really quick.

We loved riding bikes each day to the surrounding areas. Food was fantastic! What an incredible area with great people.

This property was wonderful. We had 2 beachfront villas and whether we sat on the porch watching the sunrise or walking 20 steps into the ocean it was truly peaceful and relaxing. Kayaks, paddle boards, beach volleyball, and the pools were all accessible. The property was so inviting. What truly made our experience exceptional was the friendly staff. Everyone staff member would say greet you with a smile, a Hello, and a have a wonderful day. In addition, the property has its own "adventure desk" where you could sign up for tours. Jessica, who was at this desk, was just amazing!!! Not only did she welcome us, arrange our tours, and explain all things Belize she even helped us figure out how to use the WhatsApp! It was a pleasure staying here and we will definitely be back!!!!

Absolutely positively incredible experience. Our awesome adventure began with the super friendly and informative driver Manuel from Dangriga. He read his audience accurately and quickly and treated us to Belikins (and a root beer for my wife Renee) on route! Our crew was not easy - 4 adults, a 2 year old and a 6 month old. This requires extra patience and care (car seats, spilled drinks, etc.) We found everyone - on resort and off - to be super friendly. Master pool cleaner Joseph even invited us to the local kareoke on the street. He suggested restaurants Queen Bean and J&J - excellent recommendations. The resort and the town feel safe. They say that dogs reflect the energy of their master, and all the dogs in Hopkins approach you with wagging tails - they are happy to see you - just like all the people there. Veronica - our first server at Rhum Shack - grew to be our favorite. She is a sweetheart and took great care of us. We found prices at Rhum Shack to be fair. Food at the Rhum Shack and "in town" (Driftwood, Queen Bean, J&J) was all excellent. The food here is made with natural and local ingredients. Two of the staff one morning treated us to fresh coconut water and coconut fruit - right off the tree - and showed us the difference between green and ripe coconuts. All delicious! Our adventure to Thatch Key was a blast. Fun snorkeling right off the beach there and Junior was a great bartender. We really enjoyed the use of the Hobie Wave out there! The staff consistently speaks very positively of their manager Tio. Front desk receptionist Veline was a great example of this. Conceirge Jesse is super helpful. Conceirge Andrew also shared that he felt manager Tio is particularly skilled at inspiring a team to work together to create a great experience for all. Our journey concluded with a perfect ride with Concierge Andrew. He is a gem - and did a fantastic job making sure that our adventure to Thatch Key went great and that we arrived safe and sound at the airport. We had a great time at Hopkins Bay! Highly recommend as the staff is amazing and food is delicious. We enjoyed the diving and snorkeling on Thatch Caye. Also visited the incredible Mayan ruins Xunantunich. Went cave tubing and swam in the Blue Hole. So much fun!!
