Sleep Inn & Suites Gettysburg

Location was very convenient. I wasn’t crazy about the pre made egg disks. Wife loved the waffles. The staff was very nice so I don’t want to bad mouth them

The pillows left me going home in pain. The toilet seat was loose and slipped. Slow shower drain.

Location was ok

Plastic covered mattresses and the room is in need of severe maintenance. The road traffic is extremely loud. The television didn’t render correctly and had blue pigment blocks. Black mold in the shower

The room was ok. Everything was clean enough. The staff was friendly and helpful. I had to make a change to one of the two rooms I booked and it was done very efficiently. I liked the location. We were there for the college's graduation so the facilities closer to the college were mobbed and the traffic was pretty bad.

This facility is in need of some major maintenance. The ceiling in the shower was in need of patching. The bedside lamp did not turn on and apparently needed new bulbs because the plug for recharging devices worked. We did not eat the breakfast as it was powdered eggs and sausage that resembled dog treats. I do not have a payment receipt and have not asked my husband if he got one so I have no idea what we were charged or if my son paid for the room we booked for him. This was not necessarily the hotel's problem.

It was extremely easy to find and get to, which is great after a long day of travel.

There really isn’t anything around it that you would be able to walk to. When I booked online it seemed as if we would be surrounded by things. Also, upon check in when we got to our room we discovered that the bathroom was covered in hair, our towels were stained, the ice bucket was even coated in dust so bad to the point that my husband was able to draw a smiley face in it with his finger. As someone who worked in the hospitality field for quite some time I have learned to travel with cleaning supplies for these instances. I went to get ice, only to walk down the hall and find a completely dark room with the ice machine not plugged in or any vending machines available either (like advertised). Thank goodness we brought some snacks with us (we were traveling back from Myrtle Beach). We had Duck Donuts that we brought into our room along with a bag of cheese it’s for our son and my husband had a can of Dr Pepper. He set his can on the table over night and we had the snacks sitting on top of the dresser. In the morning we discovered everything was covered with ants. We ended up having to throw away the snacks and when he went to pour out the Dr Pepper in the sink there were ants that poured out with it. I’m not one to typically write negative reviews or “drag a place down”, but as someone who has worked in this field for years this is unacceptable. The cleanliness and amenities need to be looked into and updated or else the listing description needs to be changed.

No hot water for showers. The bathtub wouldn’t drain. Battery dead in thermostat. Ice machine on our floor not functioning.

Staff and premises were great. Perfect location for Gettysburg touring.

They upgraded my room as soon as I arrived at the hotel for no specific reason.

The sheets were stained and had black hair on them when mine is light brown. The shower was like a power washer and the entire bathroom was soaked. The entire hotel smelled like curry and mildew. The upgraded room they gave us had a tub in the middle of the bedroom that had pink hard water stains all over it and looked crusty. Honestly not a wonderful experience. I would have chosen another hotel if there was one available. They were all over booked.. On the bright side... no bed bugs.

Bed was comfy.

Someone dinged our rental car in the parking lot and it cost me $400.
