A very comfortable stay in a lovely art deco style hotel. Very nice experience. Staff very helpful and great selection for Breakfast

Great location. Within walking distance of main attractions, approx 10 minutes. Staff were polite but didn’t offer any tourist or sightseeing advice. Breakfast was plentiful but a strange mix of food options. Room was clean and tidy however there was a strong smell of sewage which didn’t really go away. Walls were paper thin and there was a lot of corridor noise. Our room was an adjoining room and unfortunately we could hear everything the next door room was doing and saying. Bucharest is a lovely city and well looked after. This hotel is ideal if you are just using it as a base to explore.

There is no parking included, just a lot right next to hotel for free if you’re lucky to find a spot and not be trapped in. There is plenty of paid spots around though. The room still had a used coffee mug from previous guest in the room. However I felt comfortable sleeping in the bed was made and bathrooms were sanitized. I only stayed for one night and was an average stay. Breakfast was included and very good and staff were very nice and helpful!

Good experience

Very helpful staff on the front desk. Handy location - around a fifteen minute walk to Old Town and University Square. Trolleybus stop outside. Five minutes walk to Izvor metro station. Location is fine, though not in the centre of things. The hotel itself has some nice touches that hark back to Romania's past. I would stay there again for sure.

hotel was more a 3 star but if you're out most of the time it's fine! I had a few issues: - there was no milk in the room for tea so I went down for some and the receptionist said they didn't have any and that she didn't have access to the kitchen but I read in another review that they can give you some if you ask. The kettle wasn't working so had to go back again later and they didn't have a spare one but she got some from hot water from the machine. - the shower curtain and pole kept falling down as it's not securely held in place - there is only one max setting for air-conditioning...so the room goes from extremely hot to really cold in a few minutes. during the night when the room is hot, had to get up to switch the air con on but then 2 hours later it's freezing cold so have to get up again to switch it off! There is no aircon in the bathroom so it's like walking from an ice room into a sauna - one receptionist said water is topped up in the room every day so when I went back after a 13 hour day in the evening there wasn't any in the room and at that point I couldn't be bothered to go back out to the shop to buy some. - it's really loud from street noise and there isn't sound proofing so you can hear other guests next door, floors above or in the corridor The hotel is next to a park, 15 mins to old town and there is a nice lobby area, breakfast is OK. The room had gown and slippers- nice touch and all the amenities for a short visit to Bucharest!

Supposedly a 4 star hotel, however, once I was in my room I noticed the floors where dirty and hairs were stuck to the wall around the shower which was disgusting. The room was far too hot with no way to cool it down which made it difficult to sleep and relax. Tea and coffee was provided, however there was no kettle! I was told to ring reception each time to request a cup of hot water to enjoy a tea or coffee. They clearly can’t be bothered to buy new kettles for the rooms which are missing them. After my first full day in Bucharest I arrived back to my room to find men’s hair all over the bathroom floor which I found not on my disgusting but disturbing as well, the cleaning team need some training as this is clearly acceptable to them. I showed the receptionist who was obviously disgusted as well and she requested it to be cleaned the next day. Obviously, no one checks the cleanliness or work of the cleaners before guests arrive - you arrive and then have to ask them to clean the room (you would think it would already be clean). For a four star hotel I was really disappointed and wish I’d stayed somewhere else.
