Steenberg Hotel & Spa

We flew into Capetown as friends on Steenberg was the first of our itinerary. Let me start off by saying it set the bar so high for the remainder of the week we were in Capetown. We had a birthday we were celebrating and everything and I mean everything was top notch stuff. The staff were so happy and helpful, the food was exquisite and of course the nectar of the Gods was worthy of any King's court. Thank you so much for making the Zambian bunch feel at home. I managed to squeeze in a massage at the Spa. Its unfortunate the course was closed because I was hoping to experience the highly rated Golf Course.

The grounds are amazing and the rooms are clean and very comfortable. Food at Tryst is excellent. Staff is friendly and efficient. On the downside: The spa is inconceivably expensive. Friends we were with, out from Dubai, said these prices made Dubai look positively cheap! We also couldn't access the golf course without more admin than we were prepared to commit to. I've never stayed at a golf course linked hotel where hotel guests couldn't automatically play the course. And finally, it's a 5 star hotel - one evening after dinner (circa 11pm) we wanted a night cap with our friends in the hotel lounge, but were told that the bar was already closed!

Wonderful hotel in beautiful setting. Staff were very welcoming, rooms amazing with a very comfortable bed, and all meals were of a high standard. The golf course was enjoyed by my husband and his friend while tge ladies enjoyed a morning by the pool. Next time we will visit the vineyards and enjoy a tasting session.

An undiscovered gem right on our doorstep. We booked a night away at the very last minute and chose the above hotel, not knowing what to expect. We were not disappointed.. The staff were really friendly, the manager was very knowledgeable about the estate and we were very spoilt by all. Will be going back for sure..

Steenberg Hotel was an amazing experience! I stayed in a premium room, which was superb. But I also looked at the other rooms, and they are all nice, but different size. Excellent food in both restaurants. Highly reccomended. Next time I need to try the golfcourse also, which is supposed to be very good.

We've traveled a wee bit in our time and been in some really grand establishments, for us, on a special occasion, Steenberg was a genuine wow! Staff, without exception, were pleasant, helpful. and a pleasure to engage with. The room and facilities were of the highest quality. Both restaurants have menus that tempt you into overindulgence. Then of course there's the wine. We will return as sure as the sun shines.

We spent the long weekend at the 3-bedroom cottage at Steenberg Hotel, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. The service throughout the weekend was exceptional – friendly, prompt, and attentive in every interaction. On our first night, we decided to have a braai, and were delighted to find the table beautifully laid out with cutlery and thoughtful touches – a small detail that made a big impression. The meals at Tryn were excellent, and the service at the cottage was seamless. We also made use of the shuttle service to nearby wine farms, which was convenient and efficient. One of the highlights of the weekend was our visit to the spa – the massage treatments were fantastic and added a perfect touch of relaxation to the stay. Everything was well thought out, and the staff went above and beyond to make our weekend truly special. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and will definitely be back again.

Absolutely beautiful!!! Staff was wonderful, wish we would’ve stayed longer!
