"Beautiful but all business"

Excellent overall, beautiful grounds, luxury service, perfect location away from the city but not too far to get there easily. The only negative was the excessive monetization of every single thing there, serving as a constant reminder that guests are there to be exploited rather than helped to relax. Our arrival was spoiled by the immediate demand that we pay for everything in advance, and everything we requested or used thereafter was charged, sometimes without warning or explanation. It's luxury, but with an upcharge on every single thing, even basic courtesies.

"A stunning wine farm"

An outstanding stay, Steenberg is a beautiful wine farm and the service is the best we have had, nothing was too much trouble and they went out of their way to ensure that we were happy and enjoying our stay.

This is a very special place, rare in actual fact. Everything about this hotel and it’s staff is exceptional. It’s a tranquil haven of the highest standard. The location, decor, surroundings, immaculate gardens and food are all incredible, but such a place can not be this outstanding with the amazing staff. The hospitality is like no other. Personal, charismatic and caring. We’ll be back in a heartbeat!

Wonderful two night stay at this gorgeous hotel. Friendly staff who will go over and above to ensure you have a wonderful stay, beautiful property, delicious wines we will try come back every year. The only minor negative feed back is that the spa is by the main entrance to the hotel so could hear cars driving by while having a massage.

Beautiful landscaping. Everything is great, awesome bistro on property, except: (1) no pool heater / pool was freezing 21 degrees C, (2) the mattresses were SO HARD, and (3) the TV in the rooms are tiny, like 32" or something. Otherwise, it was an amazing place
