Hotel Punta Regina

Incredible breakfast with the most lovely staff taking care of you. Gorgeous views from the pool/balcony area, and a fantastic location in a beautiful town. Very much enjoyed our stay here!

The rooms were really noisy, and we were often woken up with outside noise in the middle of the night. Uncontrollable by the hotel of course.

We had an absolutely fantastic experience at the Hotel Punta Regina. The staff were exceedingly friendly, the room was beautiful, and the hotel was gorgeous. The breakfast was also one of the best we had during our three week travel across Italy. I highly recommend!

We booked a deluxe double room with terrace and were very pleased with our stay. The bed was HUGE — it must have been two full or queen sized beds pushed together — and the pillows were high quality foam. With that and the well-functioning A/C, we slept like babies. The view from our balcony was lovely, and we really enjoyed spending time out there every day. Most importantly, though, are how friendly, helpful, and highly competent the staff were. Everyone was lovely, but I’d call out Francesca for being so helpful in making sure we didn’t lose our dinner reservation after a delayed arrival; she gave us a very warm greeting when we arrived and was so cheerful every time we saw her. And then the gentleman who serves breakfast (whose name we didn’t catch) was hilarious and ensured each day started in good spirits. Our stay fell during a newsworthy heatwave across southern Europe, and I’d note that the ~25 min uphill walk to the hotel from the lower town was extremely punishing in the heat, even as two people in very good shape. I suppose not having taxis, tuktuks, or pedicabs preserves Positano’s character, but it means there’s no option but to have a grueling walk back to this upper town area. So I’d caution anyone who isn’t up for this kind of walk to stay in the lower town area, closer to the water. We otherwise did like the location a lot — there are very good views of Positano from this height, and there’s a decent amount of quality restaurants and shops on the street outside the hotel.

Friendly staff, the property was nice. The frack and pool were nice with great views.

The pool and lounge bar were fabulous. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was awesome and they were able to accommodate two Celiac patrons.

Shower in master bedroom was leaking profusely and is a fall hazard as the tiles are very slippery (think wall tile on the floor). The tiles in the bedroom were loose in a couple of places and grout was loose which could be very uncomfortable underfoot stepping on a loose bit of grout. The Wi-Fi was antiquated, and we were rarely able to use it because it was so slow. Fortunately, we did not need to work, or this would have been much more inconvenient. There was work in our room the day of our arrival which left us without hot water the first night. The front desk offered for us to come use a shower down in the main hotel, but we were quite a distance and exhausted and so we declined. The hot water was fixed by the morning. The room my daughter and her husband kept having electrical issues. When the hair dryer and iron were used at the same time, the electrical would trip and would require reset.

Outstanding hotel and staff. Our room was beautiful with terrace and sea view! Breakfast each morning was fresh and delightful. The location was perfect, walkable to restaurants and shopping. The pool was a very nice amenity as we enjoyed twice during our stay. Hope to return again someday.

Great location and the staff are the best part of the hotel. We’ve been twice now, and both time Francesca and the others have been so friendly and helpful.

Great location! While this is walkable, it’s also convenient for car pickup and drop off. Those stairs everywhere else are no joke! I can’t imagine having to do those with the bags.

We just got back from a 16 day trip through southern Italy. We stayed at 7 different hotels, and this hotel was one of our favorites. The hotel is really beautiful and is in a great location away from the crowds. The breakfast Al fresco every morning was some of the best of our trip. You can't beat the view! Our room was nice and large with a gorgeous large terrace overlooking the ocean. My one regret was wishing we had some more downtime to take advantage of the terrace and rooftop pool. But what made this hotel tops on our list was the staff. Mario, Francesca, and Stick (up in the kitchen) were beyond amazing. They mad us feel like family. They were great with communication before we got there and throughout our 4 night stay. From helping us with transportation to get to the Path of the Gods hike to outstanding restaurant recommendations, they always took care of us and made sure our stay was happy and comfortable. My wife and I travel a lot and can honestly say this is the best hotel staff we have encountered. Thanks again for a wonderful stay!
