it was a cute old fashioned motel!!! The owners were super nice and helpful!!

small room but bed was very comfortable and the Lady that took care of us was very helpful.

shower was very small

This is a nicely renovated, mom-and-pop motel. Our room was clean and cheerful, and quiet. Grounds are well-kept and attractive. Excellent value for the price. The complimentary basket of snacks and bottled waters were much appreciated when we rolled in late in the evening. The historic location is a plus.

Bath towels should be larger; shower was quite small, although neither of these really detracted from our overall satisfaction with the place. One issue I did have was that it was necessary to book online and have the card charged several days in advance. We had previously booked there over the phone and were told that if cancellation was necessary to do so two days in advance, and were not required to pay until arrival. There seemed to be some confusion this time, since we received a text en-route, asking for our arrival time and advising us that the office closed at 9:30 p.m., which was irrelevant because we had already paid days before as required by booking.com. And we had taken the time days before to call and make arrangements for late arrival, and were told how to access the room if we arrived late. Overall everything went smoothly but it was a bit disconcerting to be questioned after we had already made a point of making the arrangements. This was repeated when my husband went to the office the next day to request more coffee and was told "oh, you're okay, you've already paid." We were well aware of that. There just seems to be a disconnect between the online payment and the office. Again, we were very satisfied with our stay overall, and would happily stay again. Just putting this out there in case others who book through booking.com experience the same disconnect between the technology and the humans.

The back yard had a nice setting and out front had chairs to sit in and a place for a bon fire.. Nice location. Check in and out was easy and the owner was real helpful in referring places to see and eat.

Didn t see a moose or Bear.. No fault to the Motel. Wish shower was bigger but no fault to the motel.
