Rocky's Boutique Resort - Veranda Collection Samui

Hôtel parfait et "rare" a Koh Samui. Petite plage privée, deux piscines, un personnel au top ! Les petits déjeuners bien servis et la possibilité de manger sur place le soir. Nous avions une chambre avec terrasse et vue sur la mer. Nous avons voyagé en famille (3 enfants) et l'hôtel nous a préparé une chambre pour 2 et une chambre pour 3 sans supplément par rapport au prix indiqué lors de la réservation (pour deux chambres de 2 et 3 personnes).

Rien, notre séjour a été parfait. Il y a toujours moyen d'améliorer, mais dans notre cas, le séjour a été un plaisir !

La belle chambre avec vue sur mer (alors que nous avions réservé une chambre avec vue sur jardin), le petit déjeuner varié et copieux, le restaurant en bord de mer, la gentillesse du personnel, les scooters à louer à l’hôtel, le calme d’un très beau site préservé

Les clients qui « réservent » les transats à la piscine mais ne sont pas là de la journée. Les familles qui occupent la piscine avec des jeux bruyants sans se soucier des autres. La plage confetti peu propice à la baignade.

We got a free upgrade from garden view to sea view in their new block. The room was huge, view was great. Decor was nice and bathroom was very nice. Turn down service was appreciated. Staff really friendly. Friendliest people we met in thailand. Free cocktail party for an hour on one of the evenings was nice. The restaurant and bar settings are lush with a great view. Happy hour between 6-8 everyday was nice too. Breakfast was good. The little extras like robes, slippers felt extra luxurious. Slippers were padded and really comfy. Provided iron and ironing board in the room which saved having to call reception everytime you wanted to use it. Provided beach bag, flip flops, umbrellas etc. Balcony had a sofa which was really comfy. Provided sea shoes for the rocky seabed. Gym had good quality equipment. Free shuttle service into lamai. Good restaurants nearby and massage places and 7/11 etc within walking distance.

It is on the pricier side to stay there. If you wanted to stay for food and drink on resort it was expensive in our opinion. Not enough sun loungers around the pool with the ocean view, it is quite small. They don't abide by unattended sun loungers rule. People saved sunbeds early and they weren't removed. It was a steep walk up to our room and to entrance of hotel and reception after being by the pool and restaurant which was fine for us but I can imagine would be more strenuous for others. Gym was small, got a bit busy with anymore than 4 people in there.

The architecture of the resort is beautiful and thoughtfully designed. From the reception area to the newly built accommodation, everything feels aesthetically refined. I was upgraded to a low-level room (514 and later to 516) with direct pool access, which was a real joy. The pool is at least 30 meters long and offers stunning views over the garden and the ocean. The restaurant setting is also lovely, with front-row seating by the sea. Most staff members were friendly and helpful, and the room itself was comfortable and well designed.

The internet connection was extremely unstable. Although it often appeared connected, there was frequently no actual internet access. Despite staff trying to help, this resulted in weeks of my writing work being lost. I was offered a wired connection at reception, but as a Mac user, the cable provided only worked for Windows PCs, so this was not a usable solution. There is a serious lack of shade throughout the outdoor areas at the first room iwas provided sith. With a cloudless sky and strong sun most days, it became impossible to enjoy the terrace or pool despite the otherwise excellent setting. No parasols or alternative shading solutions are provided. Breakfast handling raised concerns, as dairy products were left standing in the sun and heat for long periods. In addition, there is no drinking-water option in the restaurant or bar other than overpriced plastic bottles. Considering the resort provides glass bottles of water in the room, it is unclear why glass is not used consistently. Plastic bottles standing in the sun are not ideal in this climate. The restaurant location is beautiful, but the open restroom positioned close to the best seating area produces a strong unpleasant odour. At times, this smell spread across the restaurant depending on the wind, even indoors, making meals uncomfortable. Service was inconsistent. While many staff were attentive, others made me feel rushed during meals by clearing plates before I had finished eating. Please note that the resort is not wheelchair accessible and not suitable for guests with mobility limitations.

Nicht sehr zentrale Lage.

Amazing time in this beautiful hotel. Very nice staff, clean, big bedroom and bed. Two different pools with bar service, very nice for relaxing.

If I had to point something out, the beach was small and it was hard to swim due to the big waves. (maybe it's nicer when the weather is less windy)
