This hotel room was very cramped and small and while it was the peak period for the price it was extremely disappointing. To be given one of the smallest rooms within the complex without off-street parking in front of the room, with a thunderstorm in progress, was not the best welcome. The room was dated and the free wifi was limited to 300mb at a time (we were given 3x300mb). This made us feel less on holiday than if we'd booked a room above the local pub at a substantially lesser price. The bathroom was less than perfect with intermittent water pressure with frequently changing temperature. Kitchenette facilities were not used and they made it clear that if you did cook a spicy meal you would be charged an extra charge (exorbitant) for additional cleaning. Boiling the jug and using the coffee plunger was all that we used and even that turned out to be a most unpleasant experience with the coffee tasted like plastic. There was only one spot to put a suitcase, very little floorspace for anything else and no ironing board or iron in the room.

At a very busy time the staff went out if their way to provide the room I needed even though I had not booked it. Much appreciated.

This hotel relies heavily on its location and resort style layout to make it an appealing place to stay and whilst this is really great the rest is a let down. At nearly $200 per night, it was a disappointment. The overall condition of the interior is very dated. The beds are old and have seen better days, the shower was a pathetic drizzle that hardly gets you wet and every dish we used we had to wash first as it was grubby from the previous guests use. Also there is no sky tv at all and the Freeview channels consisted of a grand total of 4 ! WiFi is also practically non existent. Just pathetic for a hotel with a supposedly 4 star rating. We had the spa room, which whilst lovely to enjoy, once you fill it to the minimum required to operate the jets, you have no hot water left for anything else. The list goes on with silly little laminated signs telling you what you can’t do and can’t use. This property is under new management and whilst they do supply a friendly and helpful manner when checking in (although tried to put the price up even though already booked online) the hotels condition and out of date facilities let’s it down. Would not stay again until it had an upgrade. Not worth the money charged and definitely not a 4 star property.

Friendly staff. Great room & facilities. Modern Heat/cool pump in room. Walking distance to cafes, restaurants & bars. (Highly recommend the Manaia cafe/restaurant & bar). Playground & park across the road. Safe shallow beach. Perfect location.

Older unit in good general condition. Modern TV and heat pump so nice and warm. Great location amazingly quiet considering it's in the centre of town. Friendly managers with good local knowledge.

It was an awesome experience, was able to relax.
