Property Notes

Dinner is served 7 nights a week from 6.00pm till 8.30pm. Tasting menu and A La Carte available Tuesday-Saturday. Sunday-Monday A La Carte only. Half board option includes 3 courses of The A La Carte Menu (upgrade to Tasting Menu is available at extra cost). The sitting room/bar closes the door at 11pm.Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation. It's recommended to bring your own vehicle since this property is not serviced by public transportation. A deposit may be required at the property.

Wonderful. Cannot rate eco friendly as no idea what is required. Bedside lights were not good for reading in bed and would have preferred squashy armchairs or sofa to the sit up and beg armchairs. Small criticisms. Food was exceptional and it was peaceful and quiet in gorgeous countryside.

Beautiful restoration of the old buildings. Gardens beautiful. Inside well maintained also.

Only slight negative was the lack of air conditioning in the bedroom.

We were going for a night away. It was convenient to drive to. The meal was very good and the service was also good. The waiting staff were very attentive at both the evening meal and breakfast. Beautiful countryside.

"Beautiful Old Lodge in Stunning Countryside"

Beautiful renovated house and farm buildings dating back to the sixteenth century. Our room (2) was on the upper floor above the courtyard with high vaulted rafters and stone interior. Superb lighting options, excellent comfortable bed, two seater sofa, tea and coffee and wardrobe with plenty of hangers in the bathroom. It felt high quality and spacious. The bath was excellent with a rain shower over the bath. We went in winter but the courtyard had plenty of seating in little garden areas which would be lovely on a summer's day. The hotel lounge and dining room was excellent with the latter feeling like a grand small room in an elegant castle. Both dinner (tasting menu) and breakfast were first class. The area is remote (15 minutes from Ludlow) with some challenging driving in back lanes but it is stunning, offering lovely walks in the better weather. We felt well looked after and would not hesitate to return.

A hidden gem along a trail of lanes. Rooms, food and service of the highest standard. Not the cheapest, but excellent value and well worth it.
