INHonestly, pathetic receptionists. At the time of check in, the receptionist Ajay assumed I was staying with a man standing beside me simply because I was a woman checking in alone, and didn't bother talking to me until I asked him to assist me again. Once we checked in (we booked a room with a balcony), we realized we were given a room without one. We called them immediately when we reached the room, and they lied to us saying the room we were given was itself a balcony room (supposedly, they considered windows to be balconies). The second day, we saw rooms with balconies and asked them again to upgrade us to the room we had paid for - they didn't.
INGreat location. Away from Puri crowd. Place was quiet too. The drive along Puri konark marine drive road was very nice.
Poorly trained staff, particularly at reception. There is a very large number of staff members crowding the desk but most of them are just loitering around. Check in takes very long time. Reception staff also resolves any query in a very unsatisfactory and unprofessional manner.
