Great room and friendly staff..Thank you!

Attractive property, the room was very nice & reasonably priced. Hot water seemed to be an issue, barely enough for a shower & filling the big tub was out of the question. The restaurant was a disappointment. Dinner was barely hot and cooled quickly served on a cold plate. We had the same problem at breakfast.

Met expectations and then some.

If you want to feel pampered, this is the spot for you. Each of the rooms are unique. Ours had a fireplace and a comfy library nook. A modern bathroom with a big comfortable bathtub. Wonderful meals!

The Asa Ransom house is a lovely home filled with beautiful antiques. Hosts Bradley and Cassandra are very accommodating and provide outstanding service. The rooms are comfortable and the bathrobes and towels of the highest quality. The public areas are always clean and tidy. The included breakfast is delicious and just the right amount of food. The muffins are awesome. The Keurig and varied choices of hot beverages were very appreciated. The location is great- near walking trails and several restaurants. The Hollow is very quaint. You will enjoy your stay.

Beautifully decorated throughout in an old fashioned bed and breakfast style. Our room had a gas fireplace and a porch. The breakfast, included in the room rate, was outstanding: quiche, pork sausage, fruit cup, fresh-baked muffins. We were unable to sample their dining room for dinner, but based on the breakfast, and the published menu, I would expect it be superior.

We stopped here the first time during one of our trips x the Midwest to New England with some personal matters to arrange. What a happy find. We would scout the ratings to find a safe (bringing some important things), quiet and restful stop along the long drives. it was in on one of these trips that we tried the Asa Ransom house. Bradley is kind and experienced Inn keeper and it shows. The place has the charm one wants. It’s like arriving at an elegant relative’s home - one that isn’t too fussy and has comfort down pat. The food (if you arrive on Friday or Saturday nights) is delicious and a destination on its own. The wine list is perfect. If not dinner night, the area is peppered with spots to dine. They serve breakfast daily and we leave by 6:30 so we dash with a cup of coffee. Since it’s the same kitchen I’m sure we are missing out. We had a favorite room - 5 with two twins for easy sleeping and a private porch - until someone booked it and Bradley put us in 6. He assured us we would love it and with a porch and a fireplace burning bright on a cool evening, we definitely did. When we get back to tour around, this is where we will stay. The ticky tacky strip in Niagara is such an affront to the majestic falls. I will definitely be making the Asa Ransom house the base.

Set on lovely grounds on the main street of a town outside Buffalo, this charming house is a very comfortable place to stay. There are a few signs of wear and tear, and the bathroom could use an update, but the bed was wonderfully comfy. Breakfast was generous and delicious, which was a relief after the extraordinarily poor service at dinner the night before. The food, once it finally came, could have been wonderful, if it had been delivered while it was still hot. Dinner at the property sounded appealing, but instead, it was a vastly overpriced mistake.

We can honestly recommend Asa House to anyone visiting the area, especially if you appreciate attention to detail and vintage authenticity! There is the most exquisite collection of fine porcelain tea cups. I’m definitely coming back for a High Tea!
