Asa Ransom House

Everything was wonderful, attention to details, care for the guests, the atmosphere, fresh roses on the breakfast table and breakfast. Definitely will go back if i am in the area.

Quaint B&B but I was literally only there for a few hours. Attended a wedding about 10 minutes away in the middle of nowhere and just spent the night. Obviously it's an older historic property but upkeep and maintenance could be approved. Spring cleanup had still not been done so curb appeal could be greatly improved. Some minor improvements in the rooms could help overall conditions as well.

Beautiful and interesting house. Not a bit like a chain hotel. The owner was very attentive and hard working and whatever you needed, he was there for you. Lovely breakfast, very comfortable bed. I couldnt recommend Asa Ransom House more highly. We came for the eclipse, but chose to stay 2 extra days.

I loved the property and the breakfast. The lady that checked me in didn’t explain stuff well and repeated same question when I was asking a question. The rest of the staff was great a so was the place.

Absolutely beautiful property. We enjoyed our stay immensely! The room was well appointed and the decor was lovely. Breakfast was delicious. The check-in/check-out process was very easy. The owner was very kind and offered information about the history of the property.

The rooms are gorgeous, comfortable and the service is phenomenal! I highly recommend this beautiful, historic inn and always look forward to my future stays!

Our actual visit was in a different year, but the "go time" would not allow a back-dated review. A somewhat musty odor upon first entering. Lodging is on 2 floors, with a huge 90 degree staircase to the 2nd floor. If mobility impaired, ask for first floor room. Large well appointed living room, spacious dining room for breakfast, served by appointment slots to keep kitchen from havoc. Breakfast was served by the innkeeper, Brad. Our room was the Ellicott Room. Adequate space to move around even with a walker, tv and a very mini-fridge. No microwave. Bathroom large and spacious; floor a little off-kilter. (to be expected, very old house). Oddly enough, has round toilet seat for an elongated toilet. Other issues: Wallpaper has several air pockets. Lamps over mirror mis-hung, as is the shelf underneath. Plus of this room: Nice view of sweeping front lawn and gazebo area. Comfortable queen size bed.

The House was absolutely breathtaking. The decorations for the holiday season were already in place and everything looked great. The staff was terrific. The service amazing and the food (from a food snob) was a nice finish to a perfect stay. We got an upgrade to a beautiful room where the fireplace was already lit and the ice bucket filled. I'm looking forward to coming back for afternoon tea! I would recommend this establishment to anyone that wants a special place to stay. thank you to the staff at the Asa Randsom house. You made our stay perfect.

The inn is beautiful and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were excellent and the special dinner event we scheduled was just lovely. I look forward to returning the next time I am back in the area.
