La Quinta by Wyndham Midland North

I appreciated staying here as I was surprised by the shear size of my room. It was clean, the staff was friendly and I felt like it was a great value.

Nice place

Had no water pressure - not enough water to take a shower or bathe myself or kids. Told the front desk and he didn’t seem to care or offer assistance. We checked in at 4 PM and weren’t notified of anything or that they didn’t have water. Went to dinner and were told that there had been an earthquake in the city that day. When we returned we of course wanted to shower and get cleaned up since we had to be at the gym the next morning at 6:30 AM. That’s when we found out we had no water. We went down to tell the front desk and he argued that they had water! We showed him videos and he still wasn’t helpful. I was told to call customer service.

Had severe noise complaint from another room- mgt even confirmed problem and others had complaints too. 5 hrs later (9pm to 2am) , 5 trips to front desk , mgt did nothing. Had to call midland police. After I left , no one with upper mgt tried to contact about incident.

The room was very clean and cozy. Bed comfortable with fluffy pillows. Air unit was quiet and room stayed comfortable. First night was quiet but second night a little bit noisy after 11:00 pm. Also notice business people coming in so that's ok. Overall pretty peaceful in hallways.

The person checking me in didn't know if there was an ice machine on the 3rd floor and there is no office chair in the room so I can sit at the desk.

The room was very clean. The a/c unit was good not noisy and room stayed comfortably temp. Bathroom was very clean.

My entry door did not lock correctly nor did it have security latch. Half of latch was mounted on wall but no secure on door. When I left the room door would not securely close and lock behind me. I had to slam door shut several times to get it to lock.

Everyone was nice and breakfast was delicious. Our room was very comfortable and restful.
