Don Chan Palace, Hotel & Convention

Excellent service.

Nice staying. Close to clubs, night market bar. The only issue is that away from downtown.

I stayed here one night and found the location to be a distance away from the city center. They do have a free shuttle bus to the Fountain Square but there are limited departures. Walking around the neighborhood, I did not find many places to eat. The lobby is huge and check in was fast. My room was a suite and it had a nice view, comfortable bed and good shower. The room safe needed to be replaced as it was not working. The room had a refrigerator and cable tv. It was clean and very quiet. The internet here is bad. I cold not get good reception on my floor and went to the second floor. Again, wifi was bad here. I thought I would do a speed check and found the service to be .76 mbps, not even a full one. For a hotel like this to have such bad internet is terrible. The breakfast buffet was average as they catered to buses full of Chinese tourists. I found the prices listed in Chinese restaurant to be very high and did not eat there. The pool was very clean but the 2 nearby pool tables wee dirty and broken. One can see peeling paint around the outside of the building. I would stay in the city center on a future visit to Vientiane.

Hotel was nicely located right next to the shopping mall,the dinner was excellent and the service was great, I will definitely stay there with my family in the future.

Lovely hotel and staff were so helpful and friendly.

They didn't have any rooms available at my booking price but rather than making me wait they upgraded. Nice. The only downside was the air conditioning which did not make the room cold enough as thye duvet was quite thick, so woke up in a ball of sweat. Had to resort to sleeping in Hotel dressing gown with towel over legs. With the sitch to duvets,it is important that the room temperatures are lower than the old shett and blanket way.

Internet is very slow in the lobby and business center.

Modern looking hotel that leaves a bit to be desired in maintenance. Friendly staff.

Modern hotel in Vientiane. Not exactly cozy. Nice rooms. Staff is very friendly. Food at the hotel is good. Exercise facility is open air -- so go early in the morning!
