Lotus of Lompoc - A Great Hospitality Inn

When I arrived I was given the room next to the office and a noisy gas station. When I asked about moving to a different room, I was told the motel was sold out and it was the only available room. Then I couldn’t get in the room. The manager spent 30 minutes taking the lock mechanism apart, but could not get it to work. So he moved me to a room that evidently didn’t exist 30 minutes prior. The room was bare bones — and I mean bare. There wasn’t even a lamp — just a blaring fluorescent fixture on the ceiling outside the bathroom. The mattress was soft, misshapen and very uncomfortable. The particle board furniture was falling apart. The grounds were dirty and unkempt. People (maybe employees and friends?) hanging out in the parking lot making noise. I didn’t expect much, but was still disappointed. I read a couple of reviews that said the motel was “adorable” — no doubt someone affiliated with the property. It’s cheap for sure, but in more ways than one.

Adorable hotel. Front lobby was decorated beautifully for Christmas. Easy parking. Room was perfect. Bed was very nice! I loved the new shutters on the window. Very nice and clean smelling inside! I would stay again at this charming hotel. Very safe location and very quiet!! I thoroughly loved my stay here.

Nice staff but tired motel, with uncomfortable bed.

Decent place to spend a night. Nothing special. Staff nice.

Last night 12-20-24, My Sony camera recorded a long black haired person crossing quickly from either the bathroom or small brown east bed cabinet open at the bottom 2 feet by 18 Inches who left quickly out the front door. $730 missing from my wallet that was on brown round table near the bathroom.

Ran down. No plugs close to bed. WiFi is not suitable for remote work. Was kept up half the night by someone’s music bass…. Bed was comfy & the heated floor in the bathroom was nice.

Was going to make coffee, and the coffee maker had used grounds in it. Not sure when the last time was someone actually cleaned it, so I did not use.

Lompoc is quiet quaint small town. The hotel is reasonably price for its simple offering of the basicd

near to a convenience store.
