View was like a dream.

The view was awesome. Location excellent.

I dont like uneducated untrained staff whom think that they are offering some kind of favour to provide promised and paid for basic included services such as foxtel and cleaning of the apartment. Train your staff to an international hospitality standard, Cairns is and has been an International destination for over forty years and I am embarrassed this is the best we can offer. These services were to be included. The foxtel wasnt working- none of the 2 genius staff at the visitors centre could work this out. Pathetic. Then I had the maitenance man sit on the couch for nearly an hour to achieve nothing, very lacklustre service. Staff dont own the place and should act with mindfulness and total respect for the space that the guest has paid top dollar for. Staff are supports to ensure a great guest experience. Example; I didnt need to know from the long blond wavy haired elderly lady from tourist information that manages the check in and check outs at for harbour lights was giving up smoking. Plus all her other addiction problems. Maybe that accounted for her being so snappy the few times I requested something simple like the promised room clean after five days to be told I was rude? really. APPALLING BEHAVIOUR. Maybe the fact she volunteered information that she had resigned from her job and was leaving a the end of the week let her ensure I was the recipient of her frustration. Pay staff well and they might care a bit more. There was nothing exclusive about this place except the view. All of your BOLD red inked signs and threats regarding activation of the smoke detectors and guest behaviour plastered all over the kitchen is really backpacker standard.

From before we arrived to after we left our booking- the reception staff were accommodating, helpful, friendly and courteous. Our apartment was in the most fabulous location, was beautiful and well-appointed and the views... exquisite. Access to all things local in the marina and city surrounds was easy walking distance with everything we wanted to enjoy such a beautiful city.
