Water's Edge Inn - Adults Only

Great location.

We had upper floor room. Stayed in November. Warm temps. Room was warm. Hard to cool with ac unit. Adding ceiling fan would be great.

When I day this place was one of the best I've ever got on Booking.com. the service the attentiveness and the attention to detail sets this bed and breakfast above the rest. The happy hour was awesome.the breakfast was just enough to get ya day started and everyone down to the cleaning team was polite and pleasant. No frowns no mad to be at work just smiles and attention. I will be going back for sure. Acces to everything was perfect. The bicycles provided transportation and exercise and the whole island was on board with niceness. The bed was comfortable le and the room The Carribean was cozy comfy. It was my lady's birthday and she was grateful and wants to return. Thank you for helping me look good for her birthday. WATERS EDGE B&B is at the top of our list.

The noises when it rained were scary

An intimate experience for an over night stay in Folly beach located a short walk away from everything happening in the town.

The pillows in the Atlantic room were too lumpy. I should’ve brought my own pillow to have been able to sleep. Perhaps an option of different types of pillows on the bed for everyone’s comfort

Location was great. The spinach dish was delicious. I realized when we arrived there was a 16 step access to my room. The on duty manager did offer other facility one night arrangements, but was unable to confirm for my actual 2 night stay. He also carried most of our luggage up the 16 stairs for us. Unfortunately, he was not there when we left to do the same. The on duty manager, when we left, helped as best she could.

Very thin walls. You could hear the other guests talking, and I'm sure they heard us. I specifically asked if there was a lot of stairs. I was told the lobby was on the same floor as my room, the Floridian. I was NOT told there was 16 steps up to the said lobby and room. The stairs were the only way to access our room. I have a extremely painful osteoarthritic right hip, hence the reason I asked about the presence of stairs. I asked prior to booking on line, and with the employee on the phone who confirmed my booking prior to my stay!! I asked for a ground floor, or at most, 2 steps prior to arrival. Unfortunately, I am unable to recall which employee called me to confirm my booking. It was a female voice.

Bottom room one night

My wife and I booked a 4 night stay here thinking it would be a nice quiet place to relax and enjoy our time on Folly Beach. We were wrong. The staff was very nice and helpful, our room was nice and clean, the bed was comfortable but, this place is very noisy. It’s due in large part to the obvious lack of sound attenuating insulation in the walls and ceiling. Our room was situated on the second level with the door just a few feet away from the lobby area where breakfast is served and happy hour takes place. From 8 to 10 in the morning guests were in the lobby having breakfast and we could hear the clatter and noise of dishes and conversations. It wasn’t their fault they were just having breakfast. Happy hour was even noisier and lasted until 7:30 or 8:00 in the evening. Imagine trying to relax with 6 or 8 people drinking and partying right outside your bedroom door. It wasn’t their fault they were just enjoying themselves. The second night of our stay we were awakened at around 10:00 by noisy quests in the lobby returning from their night out. By the time happy hour was over on our third evening we had had enough so we packed our bags and left. We spent the remainder of our stay at Folly Beach in another hotel where we found the peace and quiet we were longing for.
