Oceanfront scenery was pleasant.

Check in process was not friendly. Road noise and area were not ideal for rest at night. Fortunately was right next to ice machine in hallway which is extremely loud (Room 707). Carpet coming up in several places in hallways. Son stayed in another room as well and had an incident with gun magazines found on top of cabinets to which authorities were not called by hotel staff, nor did they seem too concerned. There is no comforter n bed, just top sheet. Found dirty rolled up cheap blanket on top of a tall cabinet to use. Set thermostat temperature to 66 at night, only to find it was controlled externally and increased to 71 by morning. Check out is 11 am, however, as we were finished packing up and getting ready to leave at 10:40 am, housekeeping opened door on her own without knocking. Parking is very cramped on check in level for SUVs. Doors do not latch closed easily. My son was able to simply push open our door and another friend’s door even though they were seemingly fully closed. That is when we learned you had to pull really hard to latch the fully, even though they made the sound of latching and appeared fully closed.
