Super 8 by Wyndham Breaux Bridge

My husband and I had to take a quick trip from our home in SC to Houston TX. Due to about half a dozen wrecks and bad weather we were wore out from our trip. We stopped in Breaux Bridge for gas and decided to stop here for the night. I was a travel agent for over a decade. I have stayed in some amazing hotels and some dumps. And this place ranks as one of the worst. We drag ourselves into our room. I go to laydown on the bed while my husband takes a shower first. There is a HUGE stain on the blanket!! Thank goodness when we take a road trip, I bring along a blanket. So we took that one off and used ours instead. Pillows were flat. The bathroom was horrible. The celiling was flaking. The toilet was nasty. Who knows when it was cleaned last. Tub wasnt clean. Towels were stained. Bathroom smelled horrible. Very little in the way of ammenities. The furniture is mish mashed. It looks like stuff even Goodwill would reject. The stand the mini fridge was sitting on had rotting wood on the bottom. The lobby is ok. There is plenty of visitors information. They do offer free breakfast. And is the only good thing about this place. Breakfast even includes waffles. There is a pool but I think I would steer clear. The fence around it looked like it had mold and was falling apart. There is plenty of parking and parking is free. It is right off the highway and there are several fast food places and gas stations in front. Thank goodness we were only here a night. I would not have stayed more than that. This is just one of the worst places I have ever stayed and can not recommend it to anyone.

Very dirty! Overpriced unfriendly place. Beds, sheets, pillows, towels, and the bathroom equipment in a terrible condition. The staff is rude and unprofessional. This place should be closed. Avoid at any price!

Very clean and Quiet with a friendly staff. I would definitely recommend this property to friends and family. I need extra supplies for the room and the front desk clerk brought it to my room with a big smile.

Property needs an update, rooms were not the cleanest.

Anyplace would be cleaner and more kempt than this place. Got tired and checked in early morning around 1 am. I am a Wyndham Rewards member but was denied a late check out as "the maids complained about it so the owners no longer allow any late checkouts." Was also told no handicap rooms were available yet parking lot did not appear that there were many guests. Green bottle cap visible immediately on the floor upon entering room. Toilet seat not connected to toilet and completely falling off. Too tired to move on so went to bed. Woke up around 7 or 8 am with housekeeping knocking down the door. Towels and washcloths with major stains. Looked more like auto mechanic rags. No bathroom floor towel to step on after shower. Same lipstick on shower curtain was also in sink still. No hand towel rack in sink area. Towel rack in bathroom was not anywhere near level. Weird thing on ceiling wrapped in a plastic bag. Did not investigate that any further than taking a picture. Carpet worn to point of exposing tack strip to your feet. Outlet in sink area with draining strip of rust coming out of bottom and outlet did not work. Wall with paint peeling off and door frame hanging. Unfortunately I took a closer look at bedding and there was a huge yellowish stain. Lamp shade very dirty and torn. Overall I do not recommend this place.

This is a dated property that is not memorable except for its breakfast which exceeds most Super 8s. The WIFI and Cleanliness are better than most Super 8s. The price is in line with the amenities. Good personnel at the desk and breakfast.

The room smelled awful, was dirty, and uncomfortable bed. The service was ok and I can not speak on the breakfast because we did not have any. The other guest were extremely loud and banging for hours

Disgusting!!! I will be calling you for a refund.It was so bad,we did not stay

Nasty dirty floors, holes in the sheets, bathroom was disgusting. Loud disturbance after 10pm with banging on the door and window and screaming to whoever was in the room. The key card didn't work correctly. The door lock didn't seem secure.

It was just for the night but the hotel was in bad condition
