This hotel is in a perfect location, with great views of Taormina ocean front. Our greatest concern is its outsourced parking service. We stayed from 5/23-5/24/2026 for one night, paying extra for our Mercedes Benz GLE brand new rental car parked by Hotel's designated service in nearby some garage. We did not drive our car between checking in and checking out. When we checked out on 5/24, our Benz came back with obvious signs of being used (driven) for joy ride: much lower fuel level, front passenger seat pushed way back in reclining position, and front window full of dead bugs. It's obvious that the parking garage staff took our car for personal usage. This Benz was a rental car. Imagine that a similar joy ride incident happens to a real car owner staying in Splendid Hotel. This left a very unpleasant taste in our otherwise rather smooth stay in Splendid Hotel Taormina. We strongly suggest that Splendid Hotel reviews its parking garage supplier and manages the service this supplier provides to Splendid Hotel's customers. Splendid Hotel needs to fix this supplier problem before becoming an Accor member in this coming June, 2026.

When I read the reviews, I saw that the hotel gets overall high scores, but it turns out that can be misleading. If you have the bad luck of getting a room on a lower floor above the road, you're in for a rough time. It turns out that the hotel tends to clear out linens and other items at 4:00 AM with a massive amount of noise, several times a week. That's when they start dragging carts and bins for many long minutes, and there is a lot of traffic. From that moment on, sleep is over for the rooms bordering the road, and especially room 104 (ours), which is located right above their storeroom. When we checked with the front desk, we realized the issue is well-known and recognized...
