Splendid Hotel Taormina

It was very central and the service was very good.

We had ants in the room and it was noisy.

Buena ubicación , y buena vista y y buena atención .

Instalaciones y limpieza del baño no están a la altura del hotel. Es incómodo que todo esté en pisos distintos y el acceso al comedor y piscina es poco cómodo

Charming staff and good facilities

Ants in the room but probably our fault as we left some dog biscuits in a bowl on the floor. Shower door needs attention as sealing strip is loose.

Das Zimmer war bei Ankunft schmutzig, der Boden klebrig, die Handtücher nicht sauber. Die normale Zimmerkategorie bei Booking ist nicht buchbar, denn diese Zimmer sind eindeutig in die Jahre gekommen und man schaut in einen kleinen Lichtschacht. Wir waren eine Woche in Sizilien und das war die teuerste und mit Abstand schlechteste Unterkunft. Auch beim Frühstück war lediglich die Aussicht toll. Ich frage mich wirklich, wie dieses Hotel zu diesen positiven Bewertungen kommt.

The location and breakfast

Our room had little ventilation -no vent in bathroom and the room was a little damp. Reception staff weren’t particularly friendly .

Great location, spacious room, very clean. Staff were mostly very helpful.

Room was very basic, limited comforts, not very stylish , very bare, simple things lacking (eg paper cups for water vs glass cups), one staff member rude and particularly unhelpful.
