Fairfield Inn & Suites Bloomington

This hotel was a good value. Across the street from the Mall of America, free shuttle to airport & mall, good service, decent pool (4' deep) & jacuzzi. We would stay here again. Breakfast is basic, but if you want fancier food & more lux rooms, there are plenty of other hotels nearby that you can pay much more for. Like other hotels nearby, this hotel is right on the flight path of planes taking off, which might wake sensitive sleepers in the early morning (not a problem for us)

Recently remodeled, the property was clean, breakfast was nice. Price was very reasonable.

Was a quick stay as we were traveling back home, but if needed, would def stay here again. The hotel was very clean and room was very spacious, big TV, comfy bed, and a huge bathroom. Everything looks brand new! I was impressed! Breakfast was well stocked in the morning. Would recommend.

We liked everything, the location and comfort.

The front desk employee didn't greet us at all. He did not tell us about the security deposit, which is not a problem. The problem was that he didn't take the time of his day to let us know about it. It wasn't until we went to our room that we saw additional charges on the credit card notification, and we didn't know why. I had to go back down to the lobby and ask. This was so unprofessional. My husband and I we travel a lot and I don't think I will be staying in this hotel again.

Very well kept hotel with nice handicap facility. Staff was very friendly and allowed me to see the rooms before he assigned one.

Great hotel - either new or newly renovated. Would stay again.

The overall experience was good enough, but there were some surprises, which I do not expect at Fairfield properties. We enjoy Fairfield because of the lack of surprises. The property appearance was excellent, and it appears they are finishing up some remodeling, exterior painting and so forth. Our room appearance wss fine, a comfortable bed, large TV and clean. There were two items of concern. First, the refrigerator was unplugged with water standing in the bottom of it. It was moved from the wall. Perhaps someone was cleaning and got distracted. More concerning, the deadbolt on the door did not function properly. Once it was set I could not retract it and once retracted it would not reset. I'd have mentioned this at checkout but the clerk on duty really didn't seem to be interested or even stand up. I don't recall recognition as a rewards member, also surprising. Keep in mind, these are all small items and I'd recommend the hotel on all other counts. Appearance is excellent, rooms were large and lean, breakfast was good. We might have been there and they were just having a bad day. We'd give them another shot.

Breakfast was the standard fare. Only thing lacking was bacon or sausage to go with the eggs.
