Sound proof, can hear next door talking

location was good, very near to Acland St and nearby St Kilda locales.

I would have liked to have used my own pillow, but I wasn't allowed to. The pillow that was provided was very low quality, so I kind of ended up with a sore neck in the morning. I understand the logic behind no allowing guests to bring their "own linen" (lice? bedbugs?) but I've stayed at dozens of places an none have ever had this requirement. Also, as an Australian, I didn't think they'd require that I had a valid passport in order to prove my identity, but, I suppose they are trying to keep locals out. Which, I understand from a business perspective, but I wouldn't choose a place like this again.

There will be activities in the lobby at night, which may be noisy for guests staying in the courtyard rooms.
