The meal at Aurelia was incredible. Staff was friendly and helpful. Needs were anticipated and I felt like I could completely relax.

Fare rewards used to ask me to review and it was easy. I’m going out of my way to review! I had lunch today with some friends that flew in from Atlanta, they’re first time castle hill people. I always have incredible service here, but today….. Harrison showed me a level of service I have not experienced in the United States! He outshined probably the most amazing place in Newport! WELL DONE!

Newport resident popping in for an early afternoon snack with a friend visiting from NYC. As usual the place is amazing. The Karen Elizabeth calamari did the trick. Heads up for Esther who served us our beer and great food. She had great suggestions and told us who made the beautiful flower arrangements. Kudos for Reilly at Valet! Will be back without doubt!

We were there for Sunday brunch mid day. The service and setting was fabulous but the food was not. I had a breakfast burrito that was literally cold so I sent it back and they brought out a new one which was barely warm. More than that it was flavorless and the roll was so thick I had to cut it with a steak knife. My wife had an egg benedict dish which was smothered in hollandaise sauce that had no flavor. Our friend had a lobster roll that looked and tasted good.

This place is amazing. The property is beautiful and so well maintained. We stayed in the mansion in the Bridge Room. It’s on the third floor so not easy on the knees, but we loved it. Old world charm and history is everywhere. Most amazing was the staff. To a person, we were made to feel welcome and appreciated. Truly a wonderful experience. I totally recommend the tasting menu at the on premise Aurelia. We did the wine pairing with it and were blown away. Again, impeccable service. This was one of our most enjoyable experiences in our travels. We look forward to returning.

Long check in, the room was not easy to access and through service or parking. No privacy as front deck was accessible by visitors. Issue with heating, which was not working and sick as a result. Breakfast service was terrible with more than one hour waiting. The bar was great though, with nice service and spectacular views.

I stayed at one of the cottages for a week last june - horrible terror experience i called for coffee in the morning and the staff rudely scolded me on how i only can get one coffee with each breakfast - i told the staff that i did not order breakfast yet - then she yelled at me as to why i did not tell her that first I then told her that she should never do this to any other guest there - she hanged up on me - later her male friend called me who was on staff and started a fight with me on the phone over this and told be i was rude and aggressive towards her I told him that i would complain to the manager about the whole thing the staff male came down to my cottage with my guest - boldly forced withself in my room and started to laugh at me because i was 65 years old and should not be complaining about anything I asked him to leave or i would call the police he left next day a manager of the hotel came down and asked me to leave for my own sake because its an employee owned company and now all the empoyees were mad at me and want me to leave - he did not even ask me what happened i told him the story and he told be he did not know who to believe and since its employee owned he thought it was in my best interest to leave given the fact that they had my 13000 room deposit - i told them i was staying and they should be professional and correct this situation the manager said he would credit back my card - at this point i did not believe him and stayed the remaining 4 days In those days different staff were coming down with our food orders and questioning me on who i was and why i was there. I told them nothing because it was not of their business. on the last day they called me and told me the credit card was declined and that I may to to jail because of it. I called the card company and i had enough credit - they did not even try to put the additional 6000 on the card I went to the main house and called my cerdit card company and put both parties in touch with each other - they said their maching was not working and now it was the hotel after lying about everything then told me it went through while the credit card company was on the phone me and my guest were terrorized because of some popular employee lying about a very small incident that she wanted to blow up due to her influence with the entire staff this hotel was subject to a lawsuit from me - i choose not too due to the cost of litigation and the time I still work full time and could not afford the time and effort - i was too busy making money and a living for my family i do not recommend anyone going to this employee owned hotel since the employees are the king and the guests are the poor serfs If this happens to anyother elderly person and you have the time - go to the police station and charge them with a hate crime against you. - its no cost and it works it make take 3 years to litigate so be prepared to spend alot of time and effort I hope this persuades all not to go to this Castle hill in RI
