We have stayed before. It is a nice property severely let down by staff and management.

The local riding club held its annual street party in front of the hotel. Thumping music till 1am and a noisy breakdown followed. This happens every year and we were not informed. The receptionist Francesca lied and said the party would end at midnight, but the DJ confirmed otherwise. The hotel is in breach of the implicit contract it has to proved a liveable room due to an undisclosed nuisance. These parties are regular in the run up to the Palio and the hotel are fully aware. Disgraceful.

Amazing terrace with views over the countryside

Wunderschönes historisches Gebäude in toller Lage und Aussicht aus dem wunderschönen Garten am Rand der Altstadt.

Frühstücksraum etwas klein, manche Plätze im Inneren ohne Fenster. Man wird gebeten, den Tisch selber abzuräumen und muss sich den Kaffee an der Bar selber abholen.

Struttura di pregio, con interni ed arredi in stile molto curati ed eleganti. Camere confortevoli, molto silenziose. Dopo aver lasciato l'auto nel parcheggio riservato (raccomandato seguire le indicazioni per evitare spiacevoli multe), si entra in hotel passando da un curato ed accogliente giardino. Attenzione: essendo un palazzo antico, sono presenti varie scalinate e gradini non adatti a chi presenta problemi di deambulazione. Nella camera n. 6, bella e spaziosa, c'è un gradino fra la parte ingresso/bagno e la zona notte. In camera ho trovato il frigobar, un bollitore con the e caffè (aggiungerei caffè deca e tisane), asciugacapelli e cassetta di sicurezza. Colazione varia e abbondante, con scelte salate e dolci. Staff attento e gentilissimo, molto attento alle esigenze degli ospiti.

Unica pecca: l'addetto del bar in uso alla colazione doveva essersi svegliato male e ha rivolto a noi ospiti i suoi nervosismi...

Well located, garden with a view

Very rude staff, girl with the nose ring particularly very rude. Overall mostly unkind, inhospitable staff except for a few people who were nice. On the night we arrived there was a large, loud party/gathering outside of the hotel: we received no warning that this would be going on for three nights. I booked this hotel six months in advance for my cousin’s wedding. Each night there was extremely loud music until 1:30am which made it difficult to sleep. The bed is very hard and uncomfortable.

The hotel is closed enough to town, in a beautiful old building. The outdoor terrace is particularly nice and a lovely place to sit and enjoy a drink with a view and enjoy a peaceful breakfast. The breakfast was really good too. Nice barman called George.

Small cramped rooms. There is no A/C - the slightly sarcastic receptionist told me to open a window instead even though a loud street party was going on right outside the hotel until 1am. So we didn't get any sleep. Too hot and too noisy with the window open. Also you are expected to clear your own tables on the terrace - which is fine but it's not really something you ask guests to do when you pay a high price for drinks in a 4 star hotel. Overall this place was disappointing. Would not go back

Lage

Preis/Leistung unterirdisch. Reception extrem langsam und unfreundlich. Fahrstuhl defekt, Klimaanlage funktioniert nicht, Frühstück ohne Bedienung, Zimmer veraltet und lieblos. Man hat uns für 344 EUR ein Standardzimmer verkauft mit dem Argument es finde bis um 0200 Uhr draussen eine Strassenparty statt darum seien die gartenseitigen Standardzimmer gleich teuer wie die Strassenseitigen Superior Zimmer. Eine Party fand selbstverständlich keine statt und Hilfe mit dem Gepäck mit dem einzigen defekten Fahrstuhl wurde nicht angeboten, dafür ein endloses Theater mit den Parkplatzvorschriften. Für uns bisher das schlechteste Hotelerlebnis in der Toskana.
